Spotted several of these Ford trucks on base over the weekend. They do not have black out lights. The tie downs are on the frame as well as the bumpers. Looks like they run on diesel and JP8. They have an AM/FM radio and AC.
My unit did not have any CUCVs that I can recall. I do remember our HMMWVs having stalling and hard hot start issues. The motor pool guys would add a quart of trans fluid about every other time we fueled up and that would smooth out the engine and fix the problems.
When I replaced my radiator I had the same problem. I went to a shop that made hydraulic hoses and had new rubber lines made up. Works just fine a year later.
I tried to fit them om my stock 1028. They do hit the front fender edge a little but my biggest issue was that they rub on the frame when turning. I would have had to adjust the stops out to far for my liking
I just replaced my wiper motor and it had hook ups for all 3 plugs. Check to the right of the motor to see if these noise suppressors are hooked up. If they are, by-pass them and see if that helps. If I remember right the third plug is to set the wipers on the bottom of the windshield when you...
Looks like I may have a bad motor. I am able to pull the top 2 plugs and everything keeps running unless I pull the main plug on the bottom of the unit. Back to the parts store.
I just replaced my wiper motor/pump with a unit from Advanced Auto. I went from having no washer to now it is on when the wipers are on. Before I pull it again for a return is there any other things to check? Could the switch on the column be bad??
