What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

It is a USMC chevron but it is a Corporal rank. LCpl is one stripe with the crossed rifles.

    Ford CUCV

It defiantly is not a clone. I seen at least 12 of them in a couple areas that POVs are not allowed.

    Ford CUCV

The Air Force does run regular Chevy and Ford pick ups on base but they do not have the tie down points and are not JP8 compatible

    Ford CUCV

Spotted several of these Ford trucks on base over the weekend. They do not have black out lights. The tie downs are on the frame as well as the bumpers. Looks like they run on diesel and JP8. They have an AM/FM radio and AC.

    Truck-Lite LED Headlights----Finally Ordered a set.

I put them on my truck in December. What a difference they make. Only issue was snow and ice sticking to them, otherwise I love them.

Single Fuel Concept Testing (Army Logistics) CUCVs included

My unit did not have any CUCVs that I can recall. I do remember our HMMWVs having stalling and hard hot start issues. The motor pool guys would add a quart of trans fluid about every other time we fueled up and that would smooth out the engine and fix the problems.

    Oil and transmission cooler lines

When I replaced my radiator I had the same problem. I went to a shop that made hydraulic hoses and had new rubber lines made up. Works just fine a year later.

    315/75r16 fit stock m1008

I tried to fit them om my stock 1028. They do hit the front fender edge a little but my biggest issue was that they rub on the frame when turning. I would have had to adjust the stops out to far for my liking

    wiper troubleshooting

I just replaced my wiper motor and it had hook ups for all 3 plugs. Check to the right of the motor to see if these noise suppressors are hooked up. If they are, by-pass them and see if that helps. If I remember right the third plug is to set the wipers on the bottom of the windshield when you...

    Washer fluid pump question.

Looks like I may have a bad motor. I am able to pull the top 2 plugs and everything keeps running unless I pull the main plug on the bottom of the unit. Back to the parts store.

    Washer fluid pump question.

I just replaced my wiper motor/pump with a unit from Advanced Auto. I went from having no washer to now it is on when the wipers are on. Before I pull it again for a return is there any other things to check? Could the switch on the column be bad??

Is there a wrong position for the oil cooler lines?

I used figure 5 on page 24 of this TM when I replaced mine to figure out what one went on the top and bottom. TM9-2320-289-20P.pdf
