How is that possible with the clutch depressed? If the clutch is in, then the drive line is disconnected from the flywheel. The pressure plate and clutch plate yes, but not the flywheel.
It's mil surplus. They are not in the used car business. If it doesn't run they list it as " doesn't run". They doesn't waste time trying to figure out why it doesn't run. As far as turn in paperwork I'd bet a dollar to a dime that specific problem wasn't listed on it either. Bet it was listed...
:ditto: I saw that too and hope it was in jest. I've heard the roads are bad around that area this morning. Take your time and be careful. ( I can't tell exactly how the roads are because I'm out of state for Thanksgiving )
Are there holes in the floor between the two rear seat? The USAF TACP ( now J-TAC) vehicles had a large elevated UHF antenna ( baseball bat) mounted on that corner
edit only picture I can find right now showing the antenna.
I was thinking the same thing on the neutrals. No need to switch them. The neutral does not connect to the transformer and back onto the grid. It's bonded to ground at the first means of disconnect and also bonded to the ground wire that runs down each pole. If there was ever a way for voltage...
I bet it's red LED one way and white LED when you turn the switch to the lockable side.
the white is locked so you can not accidentally bump it on in blackout conditions
Uhm that would be with proper brakes on the trailer. That truck is not rated to stop 10,000lbs using its 4 little brakes on their own.
no one here is trying to be an ass to you, like doghead posted, it's about safety and others that are on the road with you
Once slaved off it should run to get it on the trailer. Shouldn't need to leave it connected once it's started. Bringing two batteries is a good idea. You don't want to run it very long or it will fry the alt. running it long enough to get it on the trailer should be ok
For anyone reading this thread and doesn't understand what I mean by mixed company let me explain..... I am may not be the only one reading this screen when I'm online. I often have my son or daughter ( 14 and 12 respectively) reading over my shoulder. I understand the " their going to see or...
Too late. You embarrassed your self with that last paragraph. Did nobody teach you to watch your language when in mixed company?
we don't do well with people that act that way in here
So let me see if I have this straight? A private museum has non demilled (sp?) armor that they got on a donation from somewhere but not the government. And they think that they can't turn it back into the government without all kinds of paperwork and red tape but they can trade it to an other...
There is one just down the road from me. Old missile silo. Rumors are there ar some very neat (and some very expensive) things stored in there now. Before it was a garage it was a very well protected drug manufacturing plant ( illegal drugs ) they had everyone believing it was a top secret parts...
It's possible those "OEM" containers were made/ ordered by the OEM and rejected by the Gov when they found out they were made in China and the company dumped them into the surplus market as "overstock". That's something I've noticed about "NOS" surplus, sometimes that stuff goes to surplus for...
For anyone that doesn't know, there is a reason the military will not let their personnel wear rings or necklace's why around equipment. Trust me the weight of a falling man can and will take a finger right off
