I measured the plastic fan at just under 20". So I went with the 20. I figured there wouldn't be much frame flex. They are pretty rigid. The suspension takes it up.
Is your alt going all the way over? Maybe take the top bolt all the way out. Then install the belt and if nessessary pry the alt over enough to reinstall the bolt. Also you may have to loosen the bolts holding the upper bracket to the engine. The top of the alt casting may be rubbing the...
The man reason is like CUCVRUS said. They are for trucks that are used for hard offroading. That way you don't break the bell housing during a hard landing.
On the Civi trucks there are two braces. They go from those bolt holes to two brackets mounted behind the motor mounts. Not all civi trucks came with these. The military did not purchase them either. But all TQ covers are drilled and tapped to accept them
Wouldn't it be better to install a pindle ring on your trailer? A lot less people would be able to steal your trailer. Along with a lot less people wanting to borrow it.
You could, but GM has provided a bleeder valve at the top of the filter housing already. On the top of the filter housing on the passenger side there is a black round valve. It has a cross shape on it. There is a small line coming out near it. When you change your filter, turn this valve...
But I am considering it. How serious I am would depend on more research. I have a civi square body with a 6.2 that I am planning on doing a project on for fuel mileage. This is one reason I'm interested on how well your headers work out. I have read about a suburban with a built 6.2 with the...
I would think it might get a bit harry in the curves. The front axle would most likely be light from the tongue weight. You could easily understeer in a wet roadway. If this turned out not to be the case, then you would have the opposite problem. The rear would be pushed by the trailer tongue...
That looks good. I measured the fan blade to the water pump backing plate. I got 7 7/8. I got 8 3/8 with the thermos clutch. I wanted to put the leading edge of the fan in the same place. So it would not hit the shroud at the top. To bring it back to 7 7/8 inch I had to bore a pocket into...
My M1028A1 has the same set up. It's been that way over 10 years . With no problem. The heater works as it should. Every square body civi chevy and gmc with a 6.2 has the same set up. If it works on thousands of other 6.2 and 6.5's it should work here too. I drove it again today. Same result...
