Well guys i bought another truck, mainly for parts to complete my M1151A1. This donor is an M1114, and i see already a couple of parts are not the same bit it was expected. Bare in mind i just paid for this donor $2,100.00. It comes with a rear winch (a plus so far) and a Good thing is the...
My clutch pulley broke and it was making all kind of weird things. Charging intermittently, not Charging at all or charging for a couple of days. Making a screetching noise until kaboom, clutch went dead.
Yes, the are pricey, that is the reason i was asking on another thread about a fix for the clutch. I would not mind installing a 400 amps pulley on my 200 amps spare. Better than paying premium for the clutch pulley in my opinion.
For sure should be the connections under the A frame. Mine was not working when i got it and there was a lot of corrosion there. Now, after a year and a half it hesitates some times when is raining really bad ( to the point that starts bubbling inside through the windshield gasket) or when i hit...
I am not 100% sure, but i believe the 400 amps generator is a no clutch pulley vs the 200 amp clutch pulley. Just checking both as i have them, also the 200 amps pulley seems to be bigger in diameter than the one in the 400 amps. Once again, this is a vissual assumption on the diameter.
SF 97 does not specify off road or on road (at least the ones I have received). in order to obtain a FL title the SF97 must be submitted and i doubt they will send a new one to you. Hopefully it does work for you but it is better to get the SF97 from them and go on the adventure of registering...
In my case for the 1st couple of minutes, the fan does not make that noise. As soon as my generator gauge hits the green line the RPM on the fan increases and makes the noise.
No mog, i do have the 200 Amps. The OP might have the 60 Amps. Yes, my fans make a high pitch noise; like a combination of high speed and high pitch air through the thin blades. Hard to describe but similar to OP's, probably louder.
Mogman, how do you fix that clutch? I have one damaged and would lime to get it replaced for spare. I mean, if it is fixable instead of replacing the whole $500.00 part.
Also, registered my new to me trailer and 1151A1. The truck was a bit of an issue as there is another 1958 car registered in another state with the same VIN and a trailer in FL as well.
