Thank you steve, i have to look into that. I remember long time ago i was plying with the switches as my stop light never came on however i never heard the torque converter engaging. I will check on this tomorrow.
Thank you. The TC light only comes on while run switch is open but after start the light turns off. The RPM sender is connected to the fron of the engine. I remember splicing those wires when i receiv3d the new wiring harness from steve.
Hey fellas, with all the 4L80E transmission problems around and a friend doing some transmission swapping it came to my mind that my torque converter is not engaging. As a matter of fact i never felt or sense that drop in RPM's.
Talking to a couple of friends and driving their cars i can geel...
Went with 40's to reduce the 2" gap from the body lift between the wheels and fender lines. That part is taken care of only to look like a small farm tractor now. Have to test it for some days but 37's were better overall
I am running the turbo in the 1123 and it runs good. My friends with no turbo say it moves faster and better. Honestly i don't see much difference as they claim but they swear to it.
A couple of friends are running 40' s on standard suspension with no issues. One of them is running Mickey Thompson tires and it rubs a little inside the wheel well, his truck was not armored (don't remember his model) the other trucks are heavy armored and i believe that makes a difference...
Steve, do you have some of these springs around. My M1123 ride is totally different than my 1097R1. I would be interested in replacing the springs for sure.
On my last trip a couple of weeks ago, one of the AC hoses burned out with the exhaust and blew a hole. I took advantage of it to relocate the Red Dot AC condenser that was taking all my bed space. I am making all the lines new as the original ones are all cracked.
I used these lights or very similar for over a year. Overall they were ok. During a flood i had to go theough, one of my lights fogged (or both, i dont remember) and after a year or so the plastic started to turn yellow. I had the black lights so in order to see the yeallow you really had to...
The addiction is real. I ended up with 5 and still was bidding on 2 of them today. Nice truck that one, enjoy it once done. Keep posti g the progress on the other project.
I would say not for too long. Now a days diesel contains a lot of sulfur in it and it is highly corrosive. I would use any other lubricant or penetrting fluids that is less corrosive. If you are going to let it sit for a while. Just my personal opinion
The whole body is moving and making those noises. Mine does it every time i enter a gas station or there are shifting road levels. Specially on the left front side. It is inherent to these trucks. It sounds exactly as a submarine diving.
Of course i will, send me a PM with your email address, i will send it tomorrow when i get to the office.
I have not worked on the rear doors yet, just the front doors so far.
I spent several months replacing tires, at one point i used to have 10 rims and tires and was weird. I could never get a confortable ride, suddenly the truck would start jumping or settle down at any given speed. I decided to go non military and i can tell you it's a big difference. I have put...
That's great. Sending you a pm with my email address. Thanks a lot.
I am working on a CAD file for aluminum doors, trying to cut them before the end of the year and if everything fits good i can share it as well.
