I'm struggling to hang in as well. I try to look at the new site change as a positive. I use to be on here everyday, and usually on for quite a spell. Now with the updated change, I find myself checking in, maybe every few days at that. And even then it's for only like five minutes or so. SS...
There was a thread on here not too long ago, about this Netherlands MV dealer. There was lot and lots of pictures just like these, in that one to drool over.
Some tailgates are worth saving. I had less than an hour in this one, that would have been on the junk pile.

When I first take my Deuce out from starting up cold, it’s hard to get the transmission into the gears for the first few miles while shifting. Once after driving it for a few minutes/miles it shifts into gear (any gear) just fine, with no problems. I was thinking......during the five minute warm...
You will not impress anyone at a mud bogg event with a stock Deuce. It would turn out quite embarrassing for you. In everyone's mind, military trucks are unstopable and capable of anything, and the people there will expect just that, and a Deuce will fall far short of that expectation.
Build any truck, how you like and how you want to. Don't pass on something because someone else doesn't agree with your choice. I see bobbed trucks fetch far more money than the same truck stock. If you ended up bobbibg an M135 or M211, which to some I guess is a rare truck (all though the...
I had to use a Port-A -Power, placed between the frame rails, and spread them apart to get the transmission cross members back in place. Pretty common on older 4x4 chassis.
I did authentic (1970) plates on my Deuce, here in Michigan. No hassles what so ever. It cost me $30, and the plate/registration is good forever (non-expiring) Don't know why you would be getting the run around.
I played with the air pressure game, and I run mine at 45psi rear and 50psi front. If I have them at 60psi, it starts crowning the tire some and the outer lugs don't realy touch much. (using the old chalk line wear indicator) The wheels are also 10" wide.
When I picked up my last Deuce, it had came with some tooling in the undercab compartment. Don't know what's missing from the original set, but I thought it was a nice bonus.
Gringle beat me to it on size comparison pictures. :grd:
There is a soda can next to the Deuce t-case for size comparison in the first picture. Took a bit, but I did find some pictures on the start of the "Doubler" project.
