    Haspin 08 wrecker pics?

I finally got around to digging through the pile o' picture CD's and found some of the gimp. Not sure if I have the one you're looking for, but here's the sequence. Most of them are pretty dark. Let me know if you want some of them lightened up, otherwise it's an unnecessary step.

    Recommend a good CB

It wouldn't hurt one bit to use that "old" radio. Just hook it up and test before you need it.

Aluminum works great as long as the antenna base gets a good electrical connection to it. A mag mount won't work very well, so it's time to bring out the drill.

    Ahhhh, nice 715 there. Giggitty!

X2 on the mic. I forgot about the Astatic on my 2900. It does work well cancelling out the noise booming around inside the cab. I've been told my TX is clear as a bell going close to top speed in a noisy truck with the windows down. (Headphones help on copying the RX.)

    1. If you're just puttering around, no, not really. 2. Go to the CB shop and see what they have in stock. Talk to the people there... Go cheap, or go big. It's your ride. Radio shack still has CB stuff, too, but I wouldn't count on more than a checkout clerk to help you. 3. Common sense says a...

    Louisville Ky bound!

That is a very good question... The whole dark cloud thing kinda reminded me of Al Bundy, but I wasn't sure if anyone remembers him or not.

    Louisville Ky bound!

Gee whiz, gimp. That's quite the dark cloud ya' got goin' on there. And now your new turbo will be squealing at you like ferro's little piggy on a bender.

For the budget-minded folks... Don't forget to poke around yard sales and flea markets. Most of my CB radios were $5 and under, and almost all of them work just fine. The others that aren't an easy fix go into the parts pile. One thing about Ranger/RCi - I really like mine, but they do NOT deal...

Let me know. The Kaiser is getting bored sitting in the driveway too much!

    M715 resurrection

Both pickups, soft tops, military looking... I had one guy tell me about a "715" once that turned out to be a farmer's 2 ton grain truck. He just thought the bed looked similar, and was convinced. By the way, the trip went really well. It was about 50 miles round trip, and I kept the speedo...

    M715 resurrection

I'd love to have a restored factory-stock M715. Maybe some day I'll pick up another truck and try for a 100 point resto... Not much in the way of pics right now. I'm loading up for a short trip tomorrow, so I stuffed it in the garage to keep Jack Frost at bay. Anyhoo, here are a few. If you...

pre bent supply pump rubber hose?

I've been using regular hoses on mine for a while now. (Fuel-rated, of course)

    M715 resurrection

Tim, the motor I was using in '06 was #1... A civie motor that came with a 725 hulk I got from a guy on the coast of VA. WITC was a fun rally, and the only thing I wanted while there was a locker or two. The driveline was top notch as far as I was concerned. If memory serves, I've tried two...

    M715 resurrection

Replacing or modifying the pilot bushing won't be a problem. I need to scrounge through my parts pile and start fiddling with the calipers and mics. Maybe my pops will show me how to do a machinist's drawing, since he used to do that stuff for a living. And I might have some old parts...

    M715 resurrection

So to get this thing back on track, I'm really thinking about a few ways to stuff a 3053A in the truck. And since everything is built to go back to stock, I'll put the factory transmission crossmember in the pile I've saved from all the other mods and build a new one. :? Tom, I'll be sending...

There's always one... And if I didn't have a backspace button, I might have just gotten myself kicked off this site. :deadhorse:
