I have a 6.2 with one buggered-up glow plug hole. The GP threads in and will stay in place when it's running, but there's too much leakage around the threads for that cylinder to fire properly. Is there a specific helicoil (or other) kit for this application, or just hunt down the generic 10-1...

It looks like my chances of making this show are getting better. I'll just be bringing small stuff like duffel bags and the like. Maybe a few random truck parts. I don't want to jinx it, but the M715 might be pressed into service for this one! I have a lot of work to do between now and then.

I haven't cleaned them off well enough to look for numbers yet. The only physical difference I've seen so far is that the green one has a slightly shorter solenoid. I changed computers recently, and forgot to load a pic resizer. Give me a few minutes on that...

Ok, I pulled the starter off the 715, and found traces of green paint on it. Guess I answered my own question. Anyone interested in side by side pics?

Crud! I have at least three other things going on that weekend.

Go poke around M715zone.com for a few minutes. They have a pretty big database of vin numbers, and descriptions of the different parts that were put on the early trucks. A bunch of good people over there, too.

And here I am in Marietta, GA with a teeny little jeep... I KNEW I should've brought one of the big trucks!
