Doesn’t the WTEC 3 keypad only have a single character display(red LED) If it thought it was good to start it should close relay 26 to indicate it was in a valid neutral state. Power for the K26 coil comes directly from the TCU…
I wouldn't crank it until i get fluids in it. You use a socket on the alternator pulley bolt to roll the engine over for this type maint.
K26 Neutral energizes which powers the coil of K11 alt excite, when you turn on the ignition. K11s coil gets its ground path thru the oil pressure idiot...
The 24P section 125, shows 29507453 as the P/N for the C, D and E solenoid. item 50 on the exploded diagram…
50 PAFZZ 73342 29507453 ..SOLENOID, ELECTRICAL (C SOLENOID, D SOLENOID, E SOLENOID) 3
of course the most positive way to confirm this is with an Allison repair rep using your...
@Keith Knight I don't know if you can reset it in the CTIS controller, but you are basically feeding it 1/2 the pulses it would normally see, so you would have to be going twice as fast as the original set overspeed alarm point to actually activate it, so you should never see it ever again:)
It has to do with heat dissipation. All wires have resistance and will creat heat with current flow. If it cannot dissipate that heat it will damage/melt the cable insulation. That is one reason for those amp to cable gauge calculators, acceptable heat management and acceptable voltage drop...
70A @ 12v = 35A @24v. Both together will pull ~70A@24 if they are ever maxxed-out. using the wire calc and 90A(the truck only uses ~10 or so @24v) 6AWG would be good for 20' at 90A load, so 4AWG should be more than fine for 24v up to the cab feeding 90A.
here is a link to the wire gauge...
Well the air brake protection valve over the rear axle(passenger side) should limit flow to an unpressurized system/if a glad-hand cover falls off/is left off, or a line fails/leaks, but that is the purpose of the rear emer glad-hand, to charge air tanks and release the parking brake on a towed...
The rear glad-hands MUST be capped and sealed when not actually connected to a trailer/towed vehicles air system... Depending on your controls, air coming out of them would be normal to feed a towed vehicle, so cap them.
The Allison is continually learning and relearning/adapting its shift points. You can force it to drop, all that learned info and relearn them from scratch with a power-on sequence. But it will end up at the same end point eventually. You mashing down the pedal tells the trans controller you...
Yep, the bussed data has some cool options For an engine wi0th an ECU. The WTEC 2 comms are I believe to their own standard, its probably similar though. For comms with it, they spec a particular Allison pro-link cartridge, or the use of the Allison doc software. I havn’t looked into the...
I havn't come across one that I like yet. There are of course drain plugs but kind of exposed on the bottom of the control module. All the other ports I believe are pressure test ports so might not have any real fluid flow there. I have not seen one indicated specifically for temp sense...
Planning on it, working on a location for the sensor. There is a oil sample port on the trans fluid line to the heat exchanger/cooler but it is small(1/8NPT) but that seems like an ideal place to sample. might have to put a T fitting and a small bleed line back to the transmission to create a...
