Not concerned at all. There are far more HMMWVs than there are collectors that want one in original condition. Far more consumers that would be interested in a truck that is more user friendly.
Why LizardSkin? 3 reasons:
1) They make specialized products for sound and heat control. HMMWVs have both issues.
2) LizardSkin is being installed as part of a review. The products were sent for the review. We will also apply some DynaMat, probably to the bottom of the bigger panels, after we...
Prep, primer, LizardSkin Sound Control, installed rear doors, swapped rear seat bases onto high back seats. It was a busy day for the Battlewagon.
Back at it tomorrow with LizardSkin Ceramic Coating.
I only had to put one spacer behind the lock mechanism. No spacers on the outside. That was with the truck in 2 man config. Just converted to 4-man and the front doors still latch fine. Just got the door hinges via UPS about an hour ago... so hoping the rear doors latch fine also.
Are you doing the full deep water fording kit, or just the snorkel and pipe? I've got a few of the complete kits and can't decide if I want to put one on the Battlewagon.
It was a busy weekend at Gear Report HQ
-Converted the Battlewagon from a 2 man pickup to a 4 man soft top!
-Installed the rear seatbelts
-Pressure washed the floor mats
-Picked up an old Gypsy Rack. Gotta figure out to mount it, as it has no brackets.
-Also stumbled on a Luverne brushguard...
Similar here. I shot mine with Purple Power (or whatever it is called), then sprayed with the pressure washer. They don't look new, but they are pretty close, and with no actual scrubbing!
Like you, I was flat out amazed at how much better they looked. Who knew there was green under all of that...
You think 10g is sufficient for the starter and alternator grounds?

ohiohmmwv... pm me please. Tried to PM you about a part you have for sale, but the system said you inbox is full. :(
Sorry to hijack the thread. I'll delete this when I hear from Mr Ohio. :)
*edit: well crap. Can't figure out how to delete this now that Ohio has contacted me.
Last reply to this, I promise. :)
I was inspired by the fabricated mount that Bravojmc posted and tried a new mounting method this morning that just required drilling a hole in the "button" that is supposed to be glued to the glass and tiny bit of filing. Worked GREAT... so I updated the article...
