Anyone have any tips for dealing with GovLiquidation screwing things up? Maybe an inside contact?
Looks like they lost my EUC form for some HMMWV parts I bought in early April. They marked my transaction as "in default" and closed my account due to no EUC being submitted. Oddly, they never told...
Very interested to see how you finish this. I have a set of troop seats standing by to be cut down to fit the available space behind the 4-man soft top. Just haven't sorted out exactly how to do it. Would like to retain functioning troop seats, not just the side rails.
Looking forward to hearing how it works out. I keep mine under one of the back seats, but wouldn't mind moving it if the jack storage box proves to be an improvement. :)
Speedo stopped working a week or two ago. Finally pulled the cluster and found this...
Speedo cable sheared at the back of the fitting.
At least it should be an easy fix and was easy to figure out. lol
I am interested to hear if Bulldogger finds that the jack storage box gets in the way when trying to lean into the engine compartment for maintenance, PMCS, etc. I figure that is probably the reason pretty much every HMMWV I have seen has had the jack storage box removed from that location.
COMPLETELY watertight...
... except for the places it isn't.
Doors seal good where they make contact. However, the top front corners of the rear doors have a sizable gap. Rear top corner of front doors have a small gap.
Put a new soft top and a Luverne brushguard on the Battlewagon in the last week or so. Took some pictures this weekend. Big difference from the way I brought it home!
Nothing definitive yet, just a couple of warm leads that may/may not pan out.
The local shops all said "that is 1/4", not 5/8"... and two of them even laughed when they said it, like I was full of crap for thinking it was THAT thick.
I just smiled while they went to get their window...
Took off the x-doors and installed 3 of 4 "new" Supplemental Armor Doors yesterday. Had to work on the 4th door this morning... will install it later today.
The doors arrived with uncoated hinges that appear to have been galvanized, but looked like crap. So, I took them off, primed and painted...
I can't speak for HH, but I am talking about the windows in the doors themselves. NOT the windshield. I'm sure the shop understands, as I took the truck to them... so no danger that they gave me a quote over the phone and they thought I was looking for a windshield.
Two of my 4 x-doors with supplemental armor have what looks like funk between the glass panes where water got in, then dried... leaving behind a bit of white-ish residue.
Does anyone know if the glass can be taken apart, cleaned, then reassembled?
Or an economical source of replacement glass...
Same here. I got a replacement pump from o'reilly and put it in the original military housing. Fit fine. Works great for steering and brakes, but not enough umph to pull much of anything with the winch.
If you have a hydraulic winch, then do yourself a favor and just get the military PS pump...
Used the Battlewagon as the backdrop for a BUNCH of outdoor gear videos yesterday.
Then did a quick walk-around video showing many of the upgrades we have done.

Same as mine. Turned out to be coming through vent line. Stopped only when I replaced the pickup oring. :)
Just suggesting that you keep an eye on it to be sure it really was vampire issue.
