Yes I would try it at 300 and see how it cools. If it is not cooling good enough then maybe it needs to be 325 but I prefer to not stress the system any more than necessary.

I like to charge ac at the hottest time of the day to get the best results. That way you know that you are at a safe pressure on the high side.

You are way too high, especially at 10pm at night. You need to bleed some out before you blow something in the system. I know your afternoon climate is worse than what we usually get in Houston but anyway If I were you I would shoot for a high side max of 325 and actually would prefer to see 300...

Exactly what truck is this for? If it came with Budd type wheels, studs and lugnuts then you need to stick with Budd wheels.
