Randy,
"Ain't no hill for a climber.."
Being a mid 60's "old guy" I got my LMTV last year and have had no problems at all climbing in or out. I am sometimes stiff in the right knee from holding down the throttle for a three hour road trip.
I think you should get one and ride, ride, ride.
I got the compound at an O'Reilly parts store. I bought the giant bottle since I was doing some car and truck cleanup. It was about $40. Doing two vehicles I still have more than 1/2 bottle left. If I were just doing lenses I would buy the small bottle of part number 03900 for about $8.00 on...
I experimented on the old lens and found that 3M Rubbing Compound made them look almost new.

Fort Bragg NC
Latta SC Police Department
Steel Soldier in SC

Here is a diagram of where the...
New Horn!
The original horn was "wimpy" and after lots of teasing I got a WOLO Big Bad Max Air Horn (12v).
Now the LMTV sounds like a truck (I got my first complaint from neighbors today after the sound tests!)
Short video...
New LED headlights!
LEDs were too pricey for me so I did an H4 substitution (see post # 25) but anotherSteel Soldier (thanks Coffey1) found me a package deal I could not refuse.
They are extremely bright.
