I think I am going to have to pass on the trailer this week again, winds are going to be too high. See you whenever it is convenient for you this weekend. Glen

Maybe you will be the lucky one with the magic engine that takes on the governor running repeatedly. The are a lot of threads here about the slotted Multi fuel blocks. The slot being where the rod exited. I really do not think they were designed to run flat out for an extended period. At least...
We will be open Saturday until 1400 and Monday until 1700. I have a trailer to deliver to Missouri and if it is nice Saturday, no or little wind, I would like to get that done. If you are coming, I will try for Sunday to deliver the trailer.
I drove mine as an only vehicle for a couple of years. I cruised the highways at 42 mph and 2000 rpm. It was a fun ride to drive and I did not mind the extra time driving. I wore ear plugs, mine was a D turbo (non-whistler)... I ran drained fuel from five ton scrap vehicles. Get used to the idea...
I am betting it is broken or disconnected inside the transmission. I am not sure how that shift lever is connected inside, but I am betting it is slipping and not shifting.
I have the parts to fix it, better than it was before, faster, stronger... okay, maybe not. I do have the parts to fix it though.... They are on the ground here waiting, in numbers, to be picked up..... We have enough fenders and steering boxes to fix it multiple times, might get tired of doing...

Turn your other brake drum around, slide it over the studs, thread the lug nuts about nut deep and use the drum for a slide hammer. A couple of love taps should put a pretty decent amount of pressure on the bearing.
I sent him two PCBs, so he has those. I suspect the loose wires in the battery box are the source of his charging problem. Hopefully, he has the worst behind him. Glen
Thanks for saving the truck and I totally understand your passion for the thing. When I saw photos of the Federal here in Kansas, I wanted to go drag it home. I still may have to do that, what a killer looking truck!
Found you a tailgate, he wants 100 dollars for it, seems fair enough to me. It is in Nebraska, but he comes through regularly, let me know if you are interested. Thanks...
We should still have springer seats, several of them. We do not have a deuce tailgate right now. I have three deuces coming, but have not actually seen them yet. I know one has no box.
What state are you from, the site requires that be filled in, instead of just the United States. It really does not matter to me, except that I took a phone call about an early 40's Federal truck not far from Wichita, Kansas. I was going to go look at it and see if I could find the owner a...
