Nice toy. I have had many a cylinder rebuilt or just repacked myself. If the cylinder bore isnt rusty or the piston rod badly damaged, it should be a cheap fix to replace the seals, packing and wipers with universal parts. Have fun with it.
Funny how the AMC guys cheered when my AMX went 173MPH, but the MV crowd seems to think any performance increase is a bad thing. Reminds me of some of the F450's we caught on I40 pulling over 90K LB'S.
My father was an automotive engineer. He once quoted an engineer for one of the big three. (Parts left off cost nothing to manufacture, require no labor to install , and never cause warranty issues). The point is that a bean counter somewhere would nix it if it wasnt needed.
