Always always always always always use new bolts in 6.2 starters!!!

If your running heavy oil yeah you need the FDC... If your doing 10% or something... No. The flame heater would be doubtful... It would be smoking like a train when running...

Ditto on the above. . . I have the alignment tools if you need one. . To add to this. . . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting the new style clutch plate over the old five point star type and the newer 3 finger pressure plate. . . both are of far better design and quality!!!

Ive had this problem more than once... Turned out to be water leaking in past the nose cone rusting the shaft where the bendix rides forward... It would allow the starter motor to spin, but would not allow the bendix to move forward! My starter had a hole in it from the nose cone being...

I can get the 12V for the same cost as my 24V if you need it... I will say that had you bought the 24V i sell you would have never of had another starter issue as they out last the truck they are installed in. Not to mention... It will crank a 6.2 without glow plugs!!! The 12V will draw more...
