7 M1008/M1028s sold on GP a week ago out of Texarkana. You just need to keep looking. Most of them are out of the system by now but some members here may have good trucks for fair prices too.
I've been there and it turned out that an exhaust valve was open allowing moisture into cylinder #3 causing it to be stuck. It was in a M929 so I couldn't pull start it but in your case lube the cylinders again and give her a pull then drop that clutch. Being a tractor you may not have enough...
I'll have to get that info. The truck was cold (not warmed up) and ambient temp outside was 99F. The first chart in my first post shows the ohms per solenoid circuit but they don't match up to the spec per temp the TM shows. This temp to resistance doesn't match up either. I measured each...
Well the big issue is solved only for another to appear. Code 45 12 - "Open Circuit A". This code is a halt operations code so the transmission will not engage in any gear until solved. I'm at wits end chasing this germlin so maybe someone will think of something. I followed the TM and in the...
Graco Magnum X5 Airless Paint Sprayer is what I'm using right now but wish I stepped it up to the X7 as it's easier to work with 5 gallon buckets. Full strength, medium-low pressure (fine tuned over many paint jobs and adjusted per heat & humidity). I must say that due to surface area required...
..and imagine that. 2 EUCs cleared this morning despite the items being purchased a month apart but about 3-3.5 months ago. Maybe the key is to b*t%# and make noise or the EUCs are moving again if at least slowly.
tl;dr
I see major delays on IP's/GP's side more so than the DLA or MSCS on these SF-97s. IP is the bottleneck for reasons unknown (but we can speculate). SF-97s are at least starting to move for now and maybe EUCs will start moving again too.. I hope.
No movement yet on EUCs from my stuff...
Finished the paint and body job on this one today. Behr "686 Tan". It cured to the touch in 2 hours (hot and fair humidity) but not enough to stand on. I'll leave it for 2 weeks before I do anything else to it but 30 days is accurate for a full cure.
I've had many FMTVs but this is the first I've had with this numbering on the door like this. It was covered up (poorly) with tan paint and flaked off with the power washer. I'm positive this unit was overseas due to gunring support & platform, IFF panel mounts, etc. Anyone have insight?
What is the serial of your truck? It's possible it was part of the initial 3,000 trucks that were made that failed the corrosion test and were sent back for new galvanized cabs. Stewart & Stevenson had logistical issues making the trucks so I wouldn't be surprised if the truck chassis was made...
Not to sale pitch here but I have a close to new takeout A1 radiator from a M1078A1. Odometer showed 1800 miles on it. I too have been looking for a "NOS" radiator unit as a spare but haven't seen one. Figured I'd throw it out there to help.
Your numbers on on point. Nicer deuces (air assist steering, gun ring, etc) are around the 10K-12K mark but most fall around the 4K-7500 range if they're raod worthy and clean title. Rough trucks or retired volunteer fire trucks are always $3K or less.
Got back to this truck today and dropped the control valve module. Had to drop the front shaft to get it out right despite the TM not saying to do so. Solenoid A is indeed reading low ohms so parts are on order. I took the opportunity to clean out the pan and replace the filters. It's nice to...
Hemtts can (rarely) be found in the 20k range but you have to dig for them and be ever vigilant. One just sold out of GSA Oklahoma 2 weeks ago. Fair market price is between 35k-45k though. Nothing is coming from the feds anymore.
