4x4 Front Lift Blocks - 4Wheel & Off-Road Magazine
Not only are they a danger to you, but to everyone around you as well. What makes them so bad? It all boils down to simple physics. Whether driving off-road at high speeds or cruising down the freeway at a normal pace, your vehicle creates a...
Maybe I'm the onle one here that thinks this... but I think you are building a completely unsafe truck to be driven on the street. There's a reason that every state in this country has laws against using lift blocks in the front.
Sure you welded the block/perch to the axle, but what keeps the...
Yes, I'm still running them with the 4" backspacing. I ran them this way all summer, and have no plans to change them around to the 6" side. I put about 1000 miles on it, with lift and tires installed so far, and havent had any problems with handling or bumpsteer.
I took all the bolts out that held the box to the frame, chained it to the M104 trailer that I had in the yard, then drove the Deuce out from under it. It make a nice "thud" when it hits the ground.
I got your 4" axle perches all welded up for you. Now no need for a block, under the m105 trailer springs on your bobber to level the truck. I made them so that they capture three sides of the axle tube. Measure twice, before you weld them on:driver:
When I bought one of my Mustang GT's it already had the underdrive pullys on it. When the car is at idle, it will not charge the battery. There just isn't enough RPMs at the alternator, at a stop light or in stop and go traffic.
For something you drive on the street, it's a complete waste of...
Sorry for the confusion. I wasn't quite sure what you were getting at with the 95/5 mixture. With the Muli fuel in the Deuce, guys here tend to run about every concoction through their trucks, so I assumed it had something to do with that.
I've never used 95/5 for mig welding steel. When I...
I'll be up there in the sand with it this summer. It won't be on the 53" XZL's though. I have a set of 48x31 V-treads with 28" wide wheels for the dunes (lots of flotation) If you see it there, flag me down.
If anything catastrophic ever happens to my Multi. My little Deuce will be pushed down the road with a Ford 429/460 under the hood. It would be nice to turn more than 2,300 RPM when I need it to.
Even though I'm married, to this day, I have never worn a wedding band.
One of the things that my father told me about when he was in the army. Was in '68, he was in the back of a Deuce and his ring had snagged on the side rack when he was jumping out of it. He said just like that, before he...
