    Old Faithful never fails (Yet!)

Nice truck hdmax, What is the toggle switch for in the lower left hand corner of your dash? Also, the keyed switch, does it enable and disables the starter switch button?

I am ashamed of myself. ID this part?

The top piece is called a clothes pin. That for your wife, when she does the laundry, and hangs the clothes outside on the line to dry.

    Bobbed Deuce Wheel Back Spacing

My rear hubs are flipped on my Deuce, and the1600R20 XZL's are on a 10" wide rim, with a 4" back space. You could do a 5" back space with your 11" rims no problem.

    Major Meltdown!! :(

That sucks that the engine came apart on you. On the bright side, If you haven't named the truck yet, "Major Meltdown" is as good as any.

    Lifting a Bobbed Deuce

The truck is put away in one of the buildings, in storage with the other vehicles, waiting for winter to get over. (you Florida guys don't know how good you got it  ) Next time I'm out in that building, I'll take pictures for you.

Spring in MI, 817's at work

Wow, is that at the new battery plant? They're realy making your trucks work for the money at that site. You'd never be able to accomplish that with a standard dumptruck. Government surplus equipment is a great thing.

    Can someone identify this body?

That's all part of the MV addiction...it just happens.

Why do people bash the CUCV?

I always thought the CUCV, in the military vehicle line up, was in the same category as the Sportster, in the Harley Davidson world.......They were designed and built for girls, and everything else is for the men. roflrofl

    Full air ride crew cab

With lift and 53's, you'll definetly want some steps. (awesome build by the way) I made some out of 1" 316-series stainless tube. They have since been painted OD with grip tape on the bottom hoop.

    Spinner wheel

You are suppose to turn the knob with your hand, not your mouth.rofl

    Slow pulling a hill

10-psi of oil pressure for every 1000 rpm you spin the engine, would be considered safe.

    problem with oshkosh equipment BEWARE

Just like everyone else on this forum, you now own a "project" Buy a good set of tools, because your going to need them.

Satellite photos of your (or other) MV's

Google didn't have that good of photos of my place. But Bingmaps with its 'birds eye" view, shows it pretty well. While the goverment owned my Deuce, it sat outside every day in the weather, for 40 years. Now that I own it, I don't think it has ever been rained on since.

    MRAP Seats

I bought two of the same MRAP seats for my Deuce. I am going to put them on the springer bases. I paid $100 each (seats, harnesses, bases and sliders) which seems cheap, but we had bought four 24-volt 18,000# Warn winches from him at the same time, so we got a deal on the seats. They are...

    Cheap Electric Wipers

My Deuce must be a big pu$$y. It stays parked in the barn, if it's raining out. rofl

    Different 5 ton transfer cases?

In my opinion, any tranfercase that you can select at your own descretion, 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive, would be a 'Part-time" transfer case, not a "Full-time" transfercase. Example: Full size American truck T-cases, shift patterns New Process 205 "Part-time" Transfercase High Range-4x4...

Locking hub on front and REAR of Bobbed Deuce

Just pull the driveshafts (all of them) and you'll accomplish the same thing, and it won't cost you a thing:cookoo:

    Clepto's Bobber

"Nose up, in the air", is one way to set your truck apart from the rest.
