GovPlanet has been putting windshield retainers in some trucks for years, they did the same thing on the m1123’s that were armored.
In typical fashion, the retainers are only painted on one side and start to drip rust stains soon after.
Those are the remnants of components removed from Demil like windshield de-ice, turret power feed and fire suppression system, it should all be removed as many of the wires are still hot.
sure, that’s great for just recharging a system and everything behaves as it should, unfortunately thats not the case on so many of these torn apart USMC truck, I spend hours on the phone with AC shops instructing them on nuances of this system,
I have almost zero issues with S3 EESS boxes, anything before the S3 EESS is borrowed time….while not perfect, and nothing is, I use them 7 days a week in the shop. How good are they? Well….I have stacks of old type boxes and only 1 S3 box that was an OBF with stuck timer.
What my limited...
The rear evaporator only runs if the compressor is running, same goes for the condenser fans…your AC needs to be evacuated and properly charged. The front unit is an evaporator/heater unit like any other automobile, the rear is A/C only.
Troubleshooting cannot commence till the required 3.8lbs...
its a two way street,,,it’s easier to install the transmission alone, but more of a PITA to install the Tcase and bolt it back up, the transmission Jack makes easy to install both as a unit.
You absolutely need to support the engine, especially when reinstalling the transmission…even the TM has a section with a jig that can be fabricated to keep is straight and level….
M1165A1’s got a clutch pulley, but you can go with the “correct” fixed pulley, but you will need the specific belt for that pulley, as it’s different
than the clutch pulley belt.
Your making it harder than it needs to be…
transmission Jack has a chain to keep the transmission on the Jack, the Jack also can only go on the oil pan.
For the engine, just use an additional Jack with some wood stacked on it and under the oil pan to keep it level.
The issue you will have is...
They should have never issued you an Sf97 with no model year, they should have provided an SF97 application due to either missing model year, no mileage statement or both, it would than leave it to you to choose the model year on the application.
Call customer service and escalate this, I do not...
Far to many folks think the GVW is the weight of the truck, the GVW is the “actual weight” of the truck and when it’s loaded to its max
payload capacity. An A2 truck is a 10.3 GVW truck, ECV’s run from 12.1 to 15500lbs depending on variant.
The Luverne BG was never in a TM, at least none I’ve ever seen…i still have quite a few of them, maybe 3 or 4, there were 2 bracket sets, one for the m998 3 hole bumper, the other for winch plate mounting. IMO it’s the most robust BG ever used on the hmmwv, they don’t bend like the early angle...
