    Axle and WMS Questions

You are ordering axles? Then you can give them the spring perch location measurements etc right? Remember on the dana 60 front the passenger side spring perch is part of the diff. housing. It isn't movable. The front they will have to shorten the drivers side to fit right under the truck...

    My XM211 Fuel Tank

Not to be difficult, but since you got a flame wrench out why didn't you cut the top open? Then you could sandblast the inside, reweld the top back on and then continue with sealing it up etc. Wouldn't that have been easier?

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

You MUST redo the wood and slat flooring...that will be just to cool! Putting tin back in would be a shame. Keep the pics a comin.

How do you like my digital Woodland paint

Blown up truck cammo would make a good decoy... Truck looks good. What are you using for a pattern and how are you applying the paint...I figure spraying, but just taping off with masking tape, tape mask, stencil, what?

    Looking to give my 1028 a 6.5 turbo/4L80E a heart transplant....

Did you get the drivers side exhaust manifold? The cross over pipe does not fit the stock manifold. How about the intake manifold?

    power steering

Why? Steering a M151 is not like trying to steer an M35. I could one finger steer my 151 when it was rolling. More info on how you did this please.

    Parts M211

That truck isn't in that bad of shape. It's rough, but it wasn't scrap yard rough. It could be made to go varoom again. Drop a 6.2 or 7.3 diesel or a BBC V8. A little media blast some primer and paint and you'll be having some fun. If I lived closer, had the time, the place to keep it and...

    24 volt or 12 volt ( m37 )

If it runs well and the lights work the gauges work and it charges the batteries then you're in good shape and don't need to really worry about those thing. As far as parts replacement such as bulbs and stuff there are many MV vendors who can supply you with those items.

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

Looking at the pictures I have to say IMHO it's not in that bad of shape for it's age and where it's been sitting for the last while. Y'all should be able to get it running and driving a looking good with out to much problems. The ball hitch was there to hang coats on...

    Beadlock & Lift Kit M880 ?

He could do it like this. http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/Beadlocks/Beadlocks.htm There are many "kits" out there to do that to your truck. The only thing is they are not DOT approved for highway use. So there's that to consider.

PB does this truck use the same rims and tires as the CCKW or the G506? I would think that if you have some rims beyond repair maybe some CCKW or G506 rims could be used? But in my 28 years of MVs even the nastiest looking rims could be blasted, welded and put back to work.

    HMMWV tub blueprints

That would be a very interesting and I think rather cool idea. I wonder if you could find a body tub with out the frame for less money than the kit ones? Also look at Urban Gorilla they will sell you the tub kit with all the metal etc.

    HMMWV tub blueprints

I've looked at those plans before as well as some of the other hmmwv kit cars out there. I just can't see putting that effort into the kit when you loose the independent suspension of the original. Now if someone was making a kit body and bolt in independent front and rear axle then you'd have...

    1962 M37B1 at Ft. Chaffee

That will just cause it to sit longer and rot and then the outcome will be to send it to DRMO where it will get sold as scrap and someone with an ax to grind will classify it a HMMWV and the thing will have to be mutilated. Just how stupid things like that go.

    Digicam hmmwv

It's interesting I'll say that. I'm not a big fan of digital cammo as I can not really see how a piculated pattern is better than a regular pattern. But that's just me. I'm sure someone will want you to provide them with more pictures.

    New motor time...

If you can afford the price and it will save you time I say just do it. The motor should mount up engine mounts and trans with no problems. Other than the little things mentioned above I see no reason not to go for it.

    Usmc yellow

About 20 years ago a guy I know did a M38A1 in USMC and he said he used traffic line paint that he got at the home improvement store. The only problem is he had to hold the can upside down to spray it. Yes I've used testors for touch up paint when doing cammo paint on vehicles. The...

    M37 variant/motor pool experiment?
