This one from the MRAP already has the 24volt solenoid with the military connectors already on it. So I just need a good air source for it. Where did you get air from?
I bought a new MRAP air horn to replace the wimpy horn. I've searched around and can't find a thread on this subject if there is please point it out. If not I'll post my install here.
While I'm waiting for delivery, does any one have some good advice on where I could get the air supply from...
Mine came with the metal grill but I could tell the air force had replaced the old one because it was just the original flat green paint with no camo black and brown paint.
They didn't transfer the stewart & badge over to it and after months of failed attempts getting my hands on one I decided...
I'll try to help out with the wiring but understand that this is based on my Gen1 Evaporator unit and that you should only do this if you are qualified and fully understand the system. Don't take what I say as fact for all circumstances as yours may be different and you should always verify you...

The amount of refrigerant is relative to the size of the system. First taking it to a local shop that put 8 lbs in it and not being satisfied with the results. I contacted red dot who felt that was to much and recommended a specialty AC shop 70 miles away in Tampa which specializes in custom AC...
One step closer. While trouble shooting the AC this morning before the sun was up, I wanted to verify the thermostat was working properly. The thermostat is factory set at, off at 31 degrees on at 39 degrees. With the volt meter monitoring the voltage coming out of the thermostat so I could see...
I'm sorry but I believe it is possible! If you look at my installation you will see I'm not using the factory condenser and it's located in a different location. Also I'm comparing it to my 2003 Cherokee parked right next to it, in the morning before the sun comes up and the Cherokee will put...
After seeing and talking with others on this site about their AC cooling performance not being what we expected and with very similar results on out put temperatures.
There are only a few main components to an AC system such as the Compressor, condenser, drier, evaporator, and the expansion...
Ok, I'm finally getting the second batch of center caps done, hopefully the Stewart & Stevenson laser etching will turn out perfectly this time around.
Something else worth mentioning is that some time around 2002-2003 they changed the leaf springs on the M1078 from a 3 leaf to a 4 leaf set up front and rear.
Well I've wasted half a day looking and learning about a Tachometer for my M1078A1 with the CAT 3126B engine. While researching info on installing a cruise control for it, I found the pin out locations on the engine ECM (electronic control module) that it shows a Tachometer output at pins #38...
Superman I've been searching the web for the Medallion tachometer for the FMTV with no luck. Would you happen to have a part number or description to help me out?
thanks

I purchased some Hard Neoprene Rubber #8629K39 from McMaster Carr and machined it back in November with over a 1,000 miles and holding up great.
The larger bushing I purchased the part listed in the drawing and machined it to fit, which I would not recommend! In the future I would just start...
I'm not using the stock condenser though. I'm using one from the humvee kit that is 17"x32"x2.5" and has 4 layers of tubes. With both fans running continuously while the AC is on. Also they are pulling the air through the coils. Mounted behind the cab. Here's a link to more pictures of my AC...
I don't think that could be my issue, my reasoning is based on the fact that it can start it early in the morning with a cold engine and cab and it will quickly get to 60 degrees and will stay at that temp even while the the engine is cold the thermostat is closed when the engine is at proper...
