    24 Volt battery????????

You would have to have a 24v alternator to charge it. The two 12v's only work because they charge separate batteries, won't work with a single 24v battery. But a small 24v battery won't have the amperage to turn the 6.2 over with one small battery. you would need a 24v battery that could...

CUCV's on GL lately, high $$?

If you are building a custom 4x4 truck, those axles are well worth the price and then some.

    TM's requested - Bring out your TM's!

I have several gigs of TM's and commercial manuals on a hard drive. I will burn the best stuff to a CD and send it to you. My upload speed here sucks.

I am tired of Clinto bugging me

So I bought a deuce. All it seems to need is two new fenders. They are rusted out, but everything else is solid.

Request for GP replacement assistance - Police Involved

Yup. Used in moderation, it is fine. Used like a fool, goodbye engine. I watched a tech at a dealership spray a steady stream of ether into the intake to run it after a filter change to prime it. Wasn't my truck, but it was the last time that dealer did any work for me!

Request for GP replacement assistance - Police Involved

He has no card, and a manual switch. If he doesn't push the switch, no current to the glow plugs. Units have that policy because too many people are idiots when they use it.

Request for GP replacement assistance - Police Involved

To get you out of this pickle, use a very short squirt of ether. Since you have the manual glow plug switch, no worries about premature detonation from the glow plug heat. I know ether gets a bad rap, but used very, very moderatly it is perfectly fine on a 6.2 with the glow plugs not...

Is a Boyce m35 Bobber right for me?

Since it is really just a civilian K30, pretty much any competent shop you find locally can build one to your specs.

M22 Locust about to be scrapped...

I gotta agree with the above- there shouldn't be any demil requirement at this point unless somehow it is just leaving government hands. There are actually a number of Locusts around. And almost every one is minus turret- in the 50's the government demilled them by removing the turrets, then...

Is a Boyce m35 Bobber right for me?

Mostly. The 6.2 has a mostly undeserved bad reputation. They will break crankshafts if you run it with a bad harmonic balancer or broken flexplate, and when it happens every blames "Chevy Junk" instead of themselves for running it with bad parts and not maintaining it properly. And part of...

Is a Boyce m35 Bobber right for me?

A CUCV pickup will meet all your above needs, and do it in a better and far more practical way than the bobbed deuce will. For everyday use, the bed height is more practical. Far more comfortable for the family. The 6.2 will run on pretty much everything the LDT will, except it will need more...

Why not detroit 50 series in deuce?

There is a guy here who has at least one, maybe 2-3 running 4-53's. They were pulled from 10k forlifts that ran, but they were parted because monster truck builders pay big $$ for the axles.

    M101A2 Lugs & Brakes

Definitly an A3. Wider fenders sticking out, raised axle, and adjustable landing leg.

Saw hmmwv's at NAS Jax DRMO

Yep. there were some at Bragg as well last week, and they were discussing the demil procedures in the office. The frames and a-arms will be cut before they are sold on a scrap contract.

Fort Leonard Wood to Fort Riley

Ahh the flashbacks of being a young troop in the back of a duece. Best rides where when a car with some young women was behind ya- we had about a 25% success rate getting a flash:grin:
