True!
I picked up some used ones awhile back. Burned up. I know I personally burned up 2 or 3 while deployed. Not that model though, they were the 10"x6"x6" ones with all the vents on them. SMOKED them bad boys! :D
Buddy and Lester know where I stand. Layed it on pretty thick so they wouldn't forget. (no, i didn't threaten anyone!) :shrugs:
Thanks for shooting out the emails to let me know it was time to get hold of them.
Feel like you don't have a dog in this fight?? Just because you have a pre 85 MV and have a pink slip in the glove box doesn't mean this change doesn't affect you. It's helping the MV hobby as a whole grow and helping allow newcomers to buy a "newer" MV and be able to legally register it...
Just read through all the posts. Whew! I noticed you are thinking about Jacksonville next yr. That sounds good to me!
I'm in the thick of retiring out of the military and I maxed out the budget rebuilding the M5151A2, so I'm not 100% sure if I can come down. It sounds like a great time to be...
Oh, that's right. Ya'll have the steering wheel on the "wrong" side! That tire would make it a pain to get in and out then. rofl I would never own anything with the steering wheel on the wrong side. rofl
Sharp ambulance. Turning it into a "camper"??
"BTW, yes we should be able to own Browning M2. It's my god given right." So is eating poision ivy or owning nerve gas? That mantra doesn't take into account common sense.
You have to realize we are very fortunate there has been no major incidents with a military vehicle. Uncle Sam could...
It was built in '73 according to McDuff so thats past the 24087 time period. No idea of the build time line for M39's. I've got a '72 M151A2 and its painted 34079. Pulled the gas tank and the underside of it is 34079.
The little black National Symbols were for use with MERDC camo but that...
Blew it out, soldered a new lead for the exciter to the stud under the terminal cover, cleaned all the connections and fired that puppy up! Gauge is dead on in the green.
TB43-0147 dated 1975 is what you need. It should be 34079 forest green from the factory. When they got to the units they were left green or 4 color camo was applied by the unit or their maintenance shop, sometimes very poorly. I think the circle x is a depot storage mark. It's not an engineer...
Yep, it's toast! Guess all you can get is about 40yrs outt'a it before it gives up the ghost. Made a new one from 1/8th cork gasket material. All's well now!
Yep, the FS codes did change in the mid 80's! You have to track down an old FS and convert to the new. PITA!
Take any painted pannel and smack the paint gal up side the head then say that's the color, match it or find someone that works there that knows what they are doing!
El Guano...
Hi all,
I have my PRC77 vehicle mounted in a 3633 with a VIC system also. I get nothing from the 3633 amp speaker. Yep, I turned the speaker on! I'd like to hear incoming traffic through the speaker but get no sound. Is this normal when the AM-1780 and a 2298 is tied in to it?
