Thanks for the pics. did they add a different crank pulley? do you have a pic of it? That compressor bracket setup is interesting- hard to figure out where it attaches to the engine

The little diamond shaped terminal block thats next to the glow plug relay on the firewall I think runs all the 12 volt stuff - so I would look at the fuseable link that brings power to that block. The link can melt inside and look ok on the outside sometimes.
