how to lift a rear axle on a M923A2

Would need to be a really big stout chain, if you hit a dip in the road its gonna try real hard to snap the chain. I might do something like that for a few miles at 30 mph but not much more. Sketchy

M923A2 trip from Indy to VA

Glad you got er home. My last little 200 mile trip in my second 923 it seemed to me that 99.9999 % of people were completely oblivious of the 22,000 lb truck. Maybe because of the Camo - they couldn't see it ?

Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

I ran the gearing calculator again at 4lo website and using the 4th gear ratio of 1.27 at 2800 rpm I come up with 68 mph. So that's pretty cool to have 27% stronger gear ratio goin up a hill compared to 5th gear and still have 68 mph available (not that we would go that fast)

Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

Right since going higher than 2100 in 5th results in an unsafe speed.

bjsmith: The rectangle ones above your headlights- Do you use those just as high beam supplement or are they ok as low beams also without blinding oncoming traffic?

Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

Thanks, Im interested in if it stays in 4th and what mph you get in 4th at 2800. Im thinking in terms of using 4th to climb a steep grade.
