    Oil change nightmare!

Alright , hopefully one liner- piston assy will do it. If it was me I would change all 3 of the head gaskets though also while youre out there. check or replace the oil pump and make sure none of that steel messed up any accessory gears.

Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

Im real curious to see how the transmission acts, say if you select 3rd or 4rth gear and are at 2800 rpm if it will hold in the selected gear or upshift anyway.

    24.5 or 22.5 wheels on M818

Just putting 2 new commercial tires on the front shouldn't be that terribly expensive. At least then he will not have the worry of a front blowout as with these old junk military tires. Theres even a thread here recently where a guy had a g177 11r20 blow out on the front of his five ton.

    24.5 or 22.5 wheels on M818

Whats the diameter of the 11x20 ndt that are on it? Then we can look at 11r22.5 and 11r24.5 and etc online.

    24.5 or 22.5 wheels on M818

All the specs are online, you can pick a diameter that matches up and a sufficient load rating. http://www.goodyeartrucktires.com/tires/default.aspx?app=&pos=&tiresize=&search=homepage&type=adv http://www.yokohamatire.com/tires/commercial/ http://toyotires.com/tbr/tires/medium-truck

What is the canister on the inside of the front bumper, driver side?M923A2

A couple of the bypass oil filter setups I have researched used a 1/16 orifice in the inlet line so they didn't pull much oil volume off the engine.

Anyone ship their MV by rail recently?

Are there containers that are wider inside than standard 7 ft 8in ? I was thinking even the front hubs were wider than that? as usual mine is not within reach for me to measure. As far as height you can remove the top and exhaust stack, fold windshields etc so that's not a problem

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Trying to get this box door un-seized, have been spraying pb blaster and beating on it for a week so far. I think I will take the box off so I can get a good swing with a hammer and punch on the ends of the hinge pin and maybe that will work. Otherwise will end up cutting the hinge off.

M939, what are the air lines on the park brake doing?

I thought it dumps the air out of the spring brakes which locks them up.
