Check the fuel tank selector valve for leaks.
they are known for allowing air to get into the fuel system.
a little back pressure with air might show you where its leaking.
the fuel pressure gauge is only used when the cold start is operated. (as far as i know)
its tough to trouble shoot...
found the other pic.
this truck looked like an armored bus!
i dont know what they have for engines but we rounded the corner together and i got held up for 5 seconds by that 4 wheeler in front of me. for the next 3 miles i never could get close to him again!
i dont know but it was cool.
Sorry about the guts on my office window. at least they are dry!
i have another shot of this truck but i need to find it on my camera.
If your not going to work the truck the 16's are cool.
however if you plan on working the thing, you probly will not be happy with the stock 250.
its fun to run over 70 mph but they also can be a hand full.
even split shifting does not help when you just flat run out of horse.
dont know if it's recomended or not but I use low range up to 5th gear and then pull the t case into high and go back to 4th on the main box.
doing it this way really helps the 3rd to 4th gap.
I only do it when loaded heavy but thats quite often.
so far i havent had any troubles.
THATS IT BOB---- I'm going out rite now and dumping the 11;00's and bolting on the 16;00s!
then im hooking up a hundred pound propane cyl.
maybe i will get the pole and hold off all the challengers.
size DOES matter!
Thanks
we will be in Oscoda MI for A ground breaking Ceremonies at Veterans Memorial Park of Northeast Michigan that takes place on Mon. well on sat night before Memorial Day the speedway has a Military theme night.
Bob H has set it up with them for any of us at the Memorial site...
thought i would share a photo or two of the truck that will be on the race track doing laps on Saturday night at Whitemore Speedway.
its a short banked oval so i had to get her all tuned up and ready for the short track.
I guess i lucked out with the gearing as the stock 6.44's should do well.
Ron,
it was hyd but before i got it someone welded it pretty solid and added flip ramps to the rear.
still has the hyd winch at the rear of the well but doesnt do any good now unless a snatch block is hooked to the front neck and the cable run to the rear.
