I think that may have been the maiden voyage for the doubles! I got strange looks all the way down there but come to think of it i allways get looks like that!!!
John Merry Christmas to you and the Mrs.
this trailer has air cans like maybe a #30.
also has mechanical parking brakes that are operated individually by a parking brake lever that looks alot like the M105 brake handle. sorrry bout the crappy pic.
I gutted the muffler on our XM818 when I installed the pyro.
No idea if it helped anything but it really barks! ear plugs are a must. I wear them anyways whenever runing these down the road.
the inside of the muffler had a screen of sorts that looked like it would limit the flow. no more.
because of the offset tween the flywheel and the clutch housing, a short piece of strap like 1" x 4" works good. If you to bend a little offset into the strap it doesnt seem to bind.
Well these things happen.
I know what you meen I have a time keeping up on all the junk around here also. Man that could have ben real interesting! Glad it was pretty uneventfull.
Did it damage the spindle or hub?
I'll second this.
learned the hard way.
I was'nt thinking to good as the M35 mounts on the left and the M818 mounts on the right. (oppisit cut on driven gear)
letting the smoke out is never good!
at least it smelled like brakes instead of the expensive parts.
keep us posted.
you said you felt something weird?
was it pulling to that side or was there a shimmy?
with the pavement covered with snow and/or ice, i have never had anyone complain about me running tire chains. (cept maybe the snowmobilers when im on the 2 tracks but thats another story)
If you use either and the cold start system you will not like the outcome.
small explosions should be contained in the cumbustion chambers and not in the air box.
