I have the recipe for the Behr from Home Depot at the house. Gonna do a master cylinder swap tomorrow and hope that fixes my brake problem. What color is yours now?
The air pack is right under the master cylinder. This should be bled first, then the wheel cylinders, starting with the furthest from the master to the closest. As I am sure you will hear, this is all covered in the TMs.
Thank you sir. That's kinda what I thought, saw wear marks on the old piston that looked the size of the copper ring. Couldn't figure out where else the rubber thing would go either. Looked through the trash and everything for the original. Murphy mut have grabbed it.:whistle:It is now freshly...
DW, when I went to take mine apart, I turned to grab a tool and the spring and guts blew out. Question, where does the thin copper gasket and flat rubber gasket go? I think the rubber goes in first before the check valve and spring. Didn't even find one when I took mine apart.
I don't think it is standard. If I read the one article correctly, you would only have 24 VDC when the starter solenoid is engaged. So as soon as you let off the button, the fuel pump wouldn't get any voltage. Hmm, wish I were there, I love troubleshooting stuff like this. [thumbzup]
I hear ya, I just wanna drive mine and burn up some fuel. Brakes have been drivin me batty. :cookoo:
Your truck looks awesome! Can't wait to see it in camo. [thumbzup]
LALALALA, I'm not listening to you.................just kidding. Thought I read that somewhere.
If it weren't for a dream, I wouldn't own a Deuce now brother.:driver:Not sure I would buy a HMMWV or not, would be nice to have the option though.
I also am thinking along the lines that hopefully, after a time they will become available to the public sector. Might be wishful thinking, but who knows?
Is that etched in stone some where? I need to show my wife this rule. LMAO:jumpin:
Toddbe, your son is a lucky young man. Make plenty of memories with him and those trucks.:driver:
Mik, don't be so hard on yourself. I have discovered that this whole Deuce ownership thing is a learning experience. I can rebuild a small block Ford in my sleep, but this is another animal all together. Rock on man, your truck is looking awesome.
Awesome video Rick!! Thanks for posting those. [thumbzup] Thanks to Ruppster too. [thumbzup]
The way my yard looks, Richloam should have LOTS of water now.
