This flooring was installed on both my 5 tons that were just out from fresh military rebuilds.
It definitely keeps the sound down but their heavy and even heavier when wet.
They act like a water sponge and really hold the water and take forever to dry.
At least the ones I had did.
That’s why...
I think I would wait and see how much your final version of add-ons to your build weighs.
Portable generator, fuel and water cans, tools, etc can all add up fast and is usually all heavier than expected.
The last thing you want is to have the bump stops banging themselves to death due to weaken...
Still working on the former oxygen trailer.
Painting done.
All lettering is paint. No decals including the ford logo on toolbox
Wheels and hubs painted and installed.
New bearings and seals installed
Also installed new Jack to original welded snap-ring mount.
No more bolt on Jack that was...
Good thing is the cost of new decking would be about what I spent today.
I have two Stihl chainsaws.
025 and a 04?
I am sure it will be a learning curve, but am very happy that I can now do my own, at my pace.
I was sick of calling around trying to find what I needed.
Looking forward to it!
That’s a nice vise you have.
We have one of those in the barn at the Main ranch. Things a beast.
I’m sure everyone each does something different to their own vises to maintain them.
For me, the Craftsman in the picture is the third vise I’ve restored for outside only use.
Has worked...
I had completely forgotten about those.
That will work perfect!!
Thanks for the link
Ordering the #1 pick today.
Edit:
Gradberg 30” Setup was ordered today along with their guide rail kit.
This will work perfect for what I need.
Saves me about $15k from the other setup I was seriously...
The ones I went to, that were still open, were extremely small operations.
One only deals in Cedar trees.
One wasn’t interested in talking at all.
Another was backed up on orders since he was a one man operation.
So on and so on…….
I’m about ready to pull the trigger on my own machine.
I...
I have sanded the existing wood once and it looked fine but several boards have rot.
I’ll use regular wood if I have to.
Trying to duplicate the rough cut makes the board look horrible. Not going that route when wood prices are so high now.
I don’t mind used looking but this trailer needs a...
My life story.
I have tons of White Oak and Black Walnut trees.
Sawmill(s) are not interested in helping.
They are swamped with back orders and I’m not worth their time.
Figures……
Built a small vise platform on the back of my warehouse cart trailer.
The trailer is a perfect mobile workbench.
I use it almost daily
I restored an old craftsman vise from my collection to keep on the platform.
I welded the nuts underneath so if I need to remove the vise I just remove the...
Ford 1210 (Made in Japan)
16hp 3 cylinder diesel
Cat 1 3-point lift in back.
Hydrostat trans
Mid mount and rear PTO
Extremely well built.
Small but very capable.
They still sell for decent money today when you can find them.
It’s bigger than my Cub Cadet garden tractor and obviously smaller...
Did a initial test pull around ranch with the Ford.
This is the setup I’ll be using.
It did fine, but can’t turn too sharp or it will grab a tire.
Debating on fenders or at least tree guards so I don’t rip off a wheel. It’s obviously wider than the tractor.
Already restored the Jack, top...
