Yeah no big deal just an afternoon of wrenching and you'll have it done... You're a man after my own heart. I always tell people it's a good thing that I don't have anyone like myself or a guy like you living close by.
It is something I made. I was considering putting in a different sleeve in the neck of the trailer but it would've made the trailer sit up even higher. So I used the lower hitch I built which worked a little better.
I installed a air shift PTO on my 923 I did not ship the transmission. I cut one wrench and used a few studs and lots of pactience! The PTO I used had a direct mount pump which made it even more difficult... I ended up having to mount the PTO then mount the air valve then mount the pulp but it...
I just drove this rig to the Georgia rally. I turn the fuel up and installed a pyrometer prior to leaving. It was a good thing I installed the pyrometer because the truck gets very very hot very quickly! I am going to look into a different radiator and adding an intercooler because the truck...
I actually planned on doing the same last year because I needed a lot of parts. There is a lot of stuff but I only bought a jerry can. Don't get me wrong you may find just what you need... I ended up working like crazy and got the truck there and would of been disappointed if I'd only driven...
The only thing I've added is a gooseneck hitch and air ride seats. I've been just trying to get both trucks ready for the Ga rally. I had to throw in the towel for now. I am going to tear back into it when I get back.
Transfer case is divorced. The only thing that would impede installation is if the transmission was too long to allow the short shaft to be installed in between the transmission and transfer case. Unless you are referring to the fact that the transfer case may not stand up to the additional...
I have hauled about 50 loads 15tons each loaded with a tractor with scales. I have also site hauled 18-20 tons of sand clay. When looking in mirrors you can see the bed bow pretty significantly in the middle. I also had to weld the fold down sides to the bed floor. Since there is nothing to...
My answer is not super application specific but I plan on putting a wetline on a 925 that I have pretty much converted into a long version of a 932. I will be running a dump trailer or a Landoll trailer off of the system. I do know that larger cylinders are going to require more hydraulic fluid...
I have a 923 that I converted into a dump. I retained the same bed and build a doghouse in the front for a vertical telescopic cylinder. We do a lot of hauling with the truck and the bed is not nearly as durable as it would need to be to continue at the current rate. I know the capacity is less...
I like it! The tool box and battery box matching front make it look better. I have noticed a lot of the 5 ton crew cab's that have the factory fuel tank and toolbox that make it nearly impossible to enter the rear doors. Awesome build!
Okay cool. Do you happen to have dimensions and some pictures? I pulled some measurements and it is possible with some fab work. pm me if you like.
Thanks
Is this rig on schedule to make it to GA rally?! I enjoyed telling folks about the length of the rig but I understand the need for the change. Nice work!
