    HMMWV Humvee M1123 Build Thread

It shouldn’t take 5,000 pages to be a service manual for a vehicle. The wasted space in these manuals with over complex numbers and descriptions is exactly what I would expect from our government. In a place where all it needs to say is 5/8”-11 bolt 4.5” long there’s a paragraph of nonsense.

    HMMWV Differential Assy Question

I have both my differentials laying on the ground ready to put back on vehicle but I don't know which is which. 2004 M1123 A2. When I took them off I thought they were interchangeable but I marked them anyway and now that they're painted they're not marked anymore. Can they be put in either...

    TM Question

Thank you, that's good to know. Maybe I do need the 30's because my vehicle is completely stripped to frame right now. I was looking for all the technical info about hub rebuilds and brake caliper rebuilds and such

    TM Question

I was trying to figure out the TM situation in the thread above but they closed it for comment. I went to a different forum here that said I have insufficient credentials so here we go. I bought the printed version of these three for my 2004 M1123 but found that the information I was looking...

    Gas Conversion

I appreciate your video, thanks for posting! Not sure why some people are so negative about another persons swap. Honestly I have a brand new Duramax and its not that impressive. When I finish my swap I'll run it next to my L86 V and we'll see what happens and I'll post a video here.

    Caliper Internal Parts

Thanks Guyfang, If you're the military or AMG I'd probably do the same thing. They don't care how much a caliper costs haha

    Half wheel studs

    Thanks for the replies guys!

    Half wheel studs

How does one remove and reinstall the studs that hold the two parts of the wheel together? Press them out on a press and then press them back in or do they come out easily?

    Disassemble geared hubs

My thread was meant to be informative for something that there is hardly any information on at all and it turns into this?

    Spring Compressor

I need one and am wondering what's the best style? Internal or external? Which one do you like specifically with the source or part number.

Thanks Glider, So I need to buy those spring seats too?

    Spring replacement, leveling springs

So it's time to get the parts for this suspension lift on my build and I still don't have a grasp of what's correct after reading all these threads multiple times. I have a M1123 with a lighter aluminum engine in the front but added bumper and winch. In the back there's a whole cage and seats...

    Caliper Internal Parts

I don't know Guyfang, I did what you said and checked three sources and none of them had the bearing or spring hat.
  18. V

    Caliper Internal Parts

Thanks mgFray. I guess that's my plan. I think the bearings are fine I just have a standing rule of replacing all bearings when i tear something apart. I don't understand how these hats got damaged but i'll just try to straighten these things out. Appreciate it guys!

Thanks Guyfang. If you click the link you provided, go to volume 1 and page # 580 it's there. #2 is provided but the others in between # 11 and 12 aren't sold separately I guess.
