Cracked Bolthole on Block for Starter

If you install a flex plate backwards you can have problems like is being discussed here. The center hole always has a manufacturing burr that can NOT be installed towards the crank. The smooth side must go towards the crank to mate correctly. I have never had to enlarge any hole for a GM flex...

    Can't believe it.

55 mph is going to be rough enough without any weight on back anyways! It is sometimes too fast if you have to get on your brakes hard when bobtailing. Have fun and be safe!!

M1009 Starter/Switch help.. need some pointers.

There are two fusible links connected to the 12 volt diamond in the center of the firewall. One of these goes to the ignition switch. Pull on both of these fusible links pretty good. The fusible link can look ok but will stretch or pull apart if burnt. If one pulls into replace with proper size...

Wasps are really bad to get into any protected area on farm machinery too. I prefer to spray them with a full can of WD40 or any other spray lube instead of chemicals. Spray directly on a nest and they can not fly and will drop to the ground where you can mash them. I believe CARC paint attracts...

Dually conversion done simple on the cheap.

Yeah, 10 bolt cover, 4" axle tubes, distance between spring perches and dually brake drums, Dana 70 HD. Can't tell what ratio from here or spring perch center to center. It would be good to have u-bolt caps and sway bar to match with new u-bolts.

    M916 Alternators for cummins 400?

That's the one you want. Voltage regulator will have LED lights on it for 12 and 24 volt. My M915A1 came with one of these and AC with the rebuild. Artisan had a good write up about these in his M916 build.
