looks like i can have the pressure plate and disc rebuilt for less than $300.00. still looking around for other prices for the rest. as for the disc being centered i have made an alighnment tool. and all this stuff is heavy for sure. flywheel was turned today. I have made alighnment pins for the...
David, throw out bearing started making a little noise a couple years ago. so i reached up in there and drilled a very small hole in the case of it. then lubed it with a xtra long straw for quite some time.
Got tired of pushing my luck and tore it down. as far as what caused this? when...

dropped the tranny out of the 818 today. will pull the pressure plate and flywheel off in the morning. any leads as to who to buy replacements from? I will need- pilot bearing thru throwout bearing. I can probably get them somewhat local. just wanted to give those that hang around here a shot.
Yes everything works. right down to the cab A/C! Pretty wild truck. Did'nt meen to sidetrack your thread. Just not a lot of oppertunity to talk about Oshkosh's.
I wish mine was air brake. but oh well maybe someday i will have the other one. I will get a few more pics when its out of my shed. heres one of it in action.

Lots of civi options. they are not even close to the Military ones. wrong height, not as heavy duty and you dont get to play with these fine juice brakes! There is an air brake model but i was not that lucky. heres a shot of the mod that was required to use it with the M819.
What was it like using it? just short burst of rear end ripping power? or could you have used it all the way across the field? providing the ring and pinion held together.
