oh, and i was wondering when you were going to bring my new wrecker over. you must still be using it huh? No rush. whenever it works out is fine with me.
I added a Holmes tow bar to my wrecker. the extra shackles are just to covert the bar for my application. I can drop the bar off and go back to the Military way if so desired. but I cant see ever towing that way. I value my Military tow bar and wont risk wrecking it.
Just be sure to index the drift pin correctly if you make a set. the handle and the pin need to be correct to insure the pin does'nt walk out of the tree. the weight of the handle keeps it rite.
No i did not get a pic of the unit. i think it was called a grade all. had a squirt boom with a ditching bucket on the end. Cummins triple nickle lower eng and I'm not sure what the upper was. it was a v configuration tho.
BFR, I have the 31's in 2 of my units. (4 batterys in each one) good results even up here in the cold. and yes I use dialectric grease on all electrical connections. saves time and hassles later.

Changing the terminals is up to you . i wouldnt risk wrecking the batteries with the melting lead dropping on the top of them. I have learned this the hard way years ago. I would hate to see you ruin your brandy new ones. that would stink! Car Quest carries the mil spec Battery terminals. both...
