Ckeck back in this thread, towards the end, after you asked this same question there. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/trailers/68796-bolster-trailer-questions.html You're questions are answered there.
So put it in the classifieds. This thread died out and has been inactive for nearly a year.
If its the ones I'm thinking of, they are the uprights for the sides to keep poles on the trailers. Like a log trailer, only on the bolster trailer they are removable.
Edit to ad link...
Drag brake handle? You mean the in/out clutch? Is it just the handle and pin holding the handle in place? Or is the whole shaft missing? Maybe the handle snapped off the shaft right at the housing. You will have to pull the winch to replace the shaft.
Edit: added a picture. Which handle is...
Reach in apop it in neutral. Pretty sure anyone that operates a towtruck can figure that out.
Then they become commercial vehicles, opening up a whole 'nuther can of worms.
The residents will just tell him to park the fire truck back at the station. People are not that dumb. They will not...
Nothing to see here, just climb back down in your bunker please. Living right next to Ft Riley I see tons of equipment rail loaded all the time. Like WM said Military equipment is moved allover for training, rebuilding or reorganizing all the time.
Edit: nevermind what I had said...
Exactly why I like these type of threads. I dont mind being proven wrong. (as in this case) Thats often the best way to learn something. After sitting down and reading it again and thinking about what each paragraph is saying I now see where it talks about anchoring a winch truck with natural...
I conceed that in a straight pull you would/should bust the shear pin before you do any damage. But can someone show me where in the manual does it show anchoring the winching truck to an immovable object? Ive read thru it several times and I do not see where it shows that. I see where natural...
How wide is a 14.00 tire? Edit: found it, somewhere between 14-15 inches. I got a davit crane and the exhaust off a 923 yesterday. I got the complete set-up from side side but it's only 12" wide. I've been told the 923a2 davit set up is 15" wide. I'm pretty sure I can mod this to fit a 14.00 if...
You got him out with out damaging your truck, that's good. But I would never anchor the winch truck down like that, you're just asking for trouble. You should have used a scotch anchor to chock the front wheels. That way you won't pull your truck apart.
I was wrong about all the 809's at Glens getting crushed. I was down there today. He had 5 more that came in and haven't hit the crusher yet. But I did see the bundles of the other m820's and m813's he has that did get crushed earlier this week.
