Exactly, These MRAP wheels are ideal for the deuce since you dont need to do any mods to the wheels, just bolt an adapter on and done!
I believe Hemtt rims bolt right on to the 5 tons right? Its funny how this all works out.... Everyone wants the Hemmt rims to fit the deuce, then the...
thanks MDMORGAN, once I got the wheels home I got it figured out quickly. Got some adapters made. I've got some for sale as well in the classifieds if anyone else needs any.
I've got some MRAP to Deuce adapter plates listed in the classifieds that align off of the proper features of the MRAP wheels and Deuce Hubs if needed, including the lipped version
great idea with the PVC! Here is a link to a parts list to make a metal one (from the cheapest supplier I could find) if anyone is interested:

I'll be making my own, I work with Solidworks Cadd and in a machine shop so it will end up just being the cost of whatever metal and hardware I need to purchase, hopefully I can get most of the stock out of some drop to keep costs down.
By the Way mdmorgan, I dont have the wheels in front of me yet but do you remember the Outside diameter of the deuce adapters you made? .... I'm just trying to figure out what size blanks I'll need to start with 14",15", etc.
thanks
I need 2 pallets (8 mounted tires/wheels total) moved from Redstone Arsenal to minneapolis minnesota area (55429,55341 area). 3200 lbs total apparently!
***Wreckerman got these out of Redstone for me. Need them shipped from his place to Minnesota now. ... sounds like its 4000 lbs total.
Got...
[As I stated before, I will be putting a window 8000btu unit in. I cut out the hole and framed it fwith 2*2*1/8" flat stock. I had to also make a plug to use when the ac unit is taken out in teh fall and winter. ]
Good idea putting the AC on the back of the box. I put a window unit on the...
Just got back from a 100 mile round trip. This time I was running 2200 RPM and got 9 mpg. Since the other trips however that were giving me 8 mpg, I adjusted the valve lash per someones recommendation. So I cant be sure if the higher RPM, Valve adjustment or both were the reason for the...
I got my 109 primed and then found it was going to rain before I could paint it. I found a used giant tarp (40'x80')off craigslist for $20 to keep it dry & clean so once the weather cleared a few days later I could finish up. A local guy took interest in my project and loaned me a Wagner HVLP...
I wish I would have adjusted the valves when I had the radiator out valve covers off and did a flush and new hoses a few weeks back.
Quick Question: is it pretty obvious knowing when the valve is fully open (by turning the motor) before starting the valve lash adjustment?

I've done some searching for the best speeds to get the best mileages but since so many folks are using different tire setups its a little tough to compare.
I'm assuming that there might be a "Sweet Spot" in RPM's that would give the best miles per gallon so I wanted to see what...
Gimp, what brand/number oil filter do you recommend for the smaller size? The ones I have use are the large cans about the same size as the stock housings.
yes, this is more of what I was wondering about. I'm using the kit from Tie6044, which was nicely machined and came with all gaskets and filters for a great price. I havent looked at the other kits up close so i cant compare.
Here is some other info: I bought the truck last year, and changed...
mine started dripping grease as well the otherday. Where is the current best place to get a quality zipper boot? Also a TM to go along with members How-to is nice in case we find something else related that needs fixing.
I just got through the flame heater troubles too. I couldnt get the end cap off of mine to repair it. it was really stuck! I finall got it out by drilling through it and using an easy out but at that point it was unusable and just out of frustration.
I bought one from memphis, they sent me what...
Yeah, I replaced the 2 under the head last year.... then learned about the other one on the shaft after the fact. I need to replace that eventually now as well. Thats one of the common spots that can allow diesel into the oil right?
