there are numerous armored door types, up until the later doors did they all use the same hinge bolt pattern. Most doors are flat to allow for the perimeter armor, early stuff had the contour like regular x-doors but were different hinges and bolt patterns, so you can’t use the current issue...
correct, as is most of the parts for an H1, as your aware, they ceased production in 2006…The truck from the factory actually uses an inscribed plastic plate with adhesive on it, like a badge.
you could definitely just get some made up that way.
Excessive speed is the main cause of most rolling stock Military vehicle accidents, and this is why I cringe at folks who
buy these trucks with zero experience and want to make the trip home at 80mph.
That’s how your supposed to set the ebrake…foot on brake pedal first. You have collapsed the caliper piston via hydraulic pressure, not doing mean you get to do it manually and that takes a bit more doing.
Vermont Does not issue titles on vehicles over 15yrs old…or at least didn’t, but to get a title, it needs to be Vin Verified in Vermont I believe, don’t quote me on that though.
Also, I believe Vermont is no longer registering hmmwv’s, they rejected my last with a letter stating they no longer will issue registration on them. Previously I had done many…
Making it off hwy only does not render the hmmwv worthless….
And I’m sorry, I’m in agreement that if the FMV is NOT in its original configuration, it should not classify as historical.
when the GP guy is filming the supposed blowby From the oil filler tube on a cold day, it’s actually condensation and not blow by.
I’ve checked all the trucks I’ve ever purchased and I can’t remember any. A little blow by is no big deal.
I had a few customer trucks with mild blow by, motors ran...
Again, say what you want, I lived it and still do…I’ve spent hundreds of hours on the phone.
The folks at DMV and CARB DO NOT CARE ABOUT LAWS…PERIOD.
In the words of a CARB senior manager…”Calif does not and has never allowed ex-militray vehicle on the road”
that is a direct quote.
The other is...
good luck…they don’t care, it’s not just this, but you are fighting CARB…a complete Nazi organizatio.
I tried for a year with a state representative to just talk with a low level aid at DMV In Sacramento.
No new buyer is getting EUC cleared in 3-4 weeks…period.
I’ve had mine cleared in 4 weeks, I’m currently waiting on a truck from September auction…just received one from July auction, I have 5 others pending and spread across from Oct-Dec….I don’t start emailing my contact till after
90days…
