How does one actually get Alcohol into the brake system???

Off course air dryer systems do not use alcohol to prevent the system from freesing. The main contence is an air dryer cartridge, which has to be replaced every 80000 miles or so. But you need a 4 liter recovery air tank additional in the system which blows out the moisture when the regulator...

    Unimog SEE at GSA

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Unimog SEE at GSA Hallo Mog-lover Kyle F. McGrogan, thanks for your positive statement on Unimogs. If you know how to get in, it is easy. The 404 S shall not be compared with a U500. Is is the same as to compare a TV-set from 1955 with a TV-set of 1998. Of course there...

How does one actually get Alcohol into the brake system???

No kidding, Saturn and Uranus are former Kloeckner Humbold Deutz trucks, which of course had an Alcohol evapurator for the winter time. Any truck without an air dryer usually has an alcohol evapurator to prevent freezing of ther valves in temperatures below 1° Celsius. If you can not get the...

    Towbar gone Wrong

According to my understanding of the statement, the towed truck was not linked to the towing vehicle brake system. Thats why they have the couplers in front. In case of an emergency braking , means some locking wheels (no ABS awailable) on the towing vehicle, it will lose the straight forward...

    M35A2 PLASTIC MODEL KIT (WANTED)

The Monogrm truck with a copy of the matching wheels and a modified bed also will do it. I built this gas REO in 1982. The wheels are cast copys from the 88 Tamiya Flak 38. The bed id scratch built. For the early years of the German Army this is good enough. Wolf

    My bobbed "10 ton"

That is the tractor part of the Atomic Anny , the M249, I suppose, which should be a cab over engine. The cab part looks like a standard 5 to 10 ton Reo hood with gasoline engine with a WWII tractor cab, for example Federal or Diamond with soft top cab. Nice mixture. Who can prove this did not...

    Roco models on ebay

papercu, for your information, ROCO definately is bankrupt, even the sucsessor GmbH. The military vehicle part is taken over by Herpa Models and still under limited production. So your original ROCO Models will increase in value, at least in Europe. Wolf

    Latest model I finished

Honestly, I do not have a M38A1 in my collection. But I have since some 25 years those REO's and other ex US vehicles in my collection. One example of a scratch built Faun truck which is my favourite one as a original, however no space for the original! All these pictures are scanned from paper...

looking for plastic model manufacturer comparos -

RE: plastic model kits Revell also changes molds with Italeri and sometimes with Tamiya. For example the Revel and Italeri HEMTT is excactly the same kit; I own both of them. The Revell kit is a little cheeper, at least in Germany. Sure, the wheels are not the very best ones, but the overall...

The steel hardtop looks close to the original. But to my opinion it is not the original one. Can you say something about it?

    What model is this tractor?

RE: Re: 818 Andydieselpower's tractor is, what the US Army calls them in Europe, a bigfoot. So it should be an A1 at least. It has not the higher modifications like in Europe the Kontrollgeraet (writing tachograph). So it was rebuilt for shure in the States. To the tractor entusiats: What ever...
