    Alcohol Evaporator, Block Heater etc.

Hi, Now that temps are dropping, I am concerned about moisture freezing in the air system as well as increased engine wear from cold starts after sitting for a few days. My M35A2 is a soft top with no heater (it does have pre-heater for the engine though.) Alcohol Evaporator Is it possible...

    Primary Fuel Filter Trouble

Thanks everyone for all of your input. On Friday I took all four bolts that attach the housing to the bracket out and just pushed the housing down with my finger about an 1/8th of an inch and I could pull the through bolt out. The old paper gasket was the leak point. Its not that bad after...

    Jumping out of gear

Guten Tag Doktor Fremde Liebe!! Is there enough mine shaft space to allow prodigous breeding with a high female to male ratio and to prevent a mine shaft gap!?!? Set your CRM-114 discriminator with the correct three letter code prefix.

    Primary Fuel Filter Trouble

Hallo, Yesterday I had no problem changing both the Secondary and Final fuel filters...cleaned out the canisters, replaced rubber o-rings on the canister body and the through bolt. Torqued them to 180 in. lbs. or 15 ft. lbs. The Primary Filter... They just HAD to mount it on the frame rail...

    WHAT'S CONSIDERED OVERLOADING?

I removed the swivel because the nylon bushing was obliterated, its height to the ground is beyond most normal tongue settings, and having it mounted to only a stamped crossmember did not appear to be strong enough to withstand constant loads. Yes, I probably should have re-used the swivel but...

    WHAT'S CONSIDERED OVERLOADING?

Hi, I would like to know what everyone thinks is the maximum payload that can safely be carried in the bed of a Deuce? What is the max safe towed load too? I know the off-road rating is 5Klbs. and 10Klbs. on pavement. But I'd like to know what people really put in the back. I make regular...

    DEUCE EMMISIONS RESULTS ARE IN!!

Yeah that was it. 4% out of a max. allowed of 70% ain't bad. No dyno or rollers. Just an anal probe down the dipstick tube and a device clamped to the stack. He brought up the RPMs with no load. Obviously the diesel emmisions test isn't that strict.

    DEUCE EMMISIONS RESULTS ARE IN!!

Hi, As requested here is the emmisions test result from my first inspection with the deuce. This printout is required to be carried with registration and insurance per NYSDOT. When the mechanic put the "heavy vehicle" inspection sticker on the truck, he placed it on the bottom of the front...

    Battery Woes

I actually installed new batts last friday. They were Powermaster Group 31 and the smell of sulphur was strong. They were pretty old. I checked the water level and they were full. Put them on the charger and the needle danced around. It wouldn't crank. So I replaced them with: Interstate...

    Deuce Operating Temps

I have the results of my grille coverage experimentation When I first bought the truck I replaced the Water temp gauge and the sending unit thinking they were busted. I just never ran the truck long enough to warm up the water. So this weekend I had the opputunity to test grille coverage when...

    Deuce Operating Temps

I'd just like to let everyone know I finally got my deuce inspected. The mechanic was stationed in Germany and worked in the motorpool. He was very happy about seeing the truck and didn't give a crap about having no running or marker lights on the bed corners. All diesels no matter how old...

ANYBODY HAVE THE SAME EXP. WITH INSPECTIONS?

RE: Re: RE: ANYBODY HAVE THE SAME EXP. WITH INSPECTIONS? Thanks for all of your advice...I just never looked under the valve cover yet and assumed it was similar to older diesels from the 50's

ANYBODY HAVE THE SAME EXP. WITH INSPECTIONS?

Hi, I have owned my deuce for 10 months now and use twice a week at minimum. Shortly after purchasing, registering, and insuring it, I intended to get it inspected. Well... I thought it would be a snap. The guy calls me back and says that because it's wider than 72" it needs all sorts of...

    Hello

Wow...Thanks. What is the clearance for the injector rocker? I will browse the PS online. Also...What are the No. designations for TM's as I would like to acquire a set of detailed manuals for my truck. Is Portrayal Press a good source?
