The wiper arms are from Napa... I had to buy everything 2 or 3 times before I was happy with what I got in the end... The ones pictured are one size larger than the ones listed in the tech article section, if I remember right you change the last digit of the part number. They will fit on stock...
Here is another one of those mods that I've had the parts for forever but never got around to doing...
I installed a over flow tank on my cooling system. Part of this was due to the simplicity of having it and part of it was due to the dead bug particles I found clogging the original over flow...
Hey dont get to envous yet... If no one can come It might just be me in the woods alone with my truck cooking a hot dog on a stick!!!
Then again I kinda like that type of stuff...
and no worries Clint... just apply the term "free beer" and you win LOL
Ok... a stab at this in the long winded version for everyone reguardless of technical level.
The term micron is purely suggestive... It is used to describe the size of the element inside of a filter but it does not in any way, shape or form mean that said element will filter at that rating...
A bump to drum up some interest on the idea ...
The meet will be held in Clermont, FL which is about 45 minutes west of Disney world.
All SS members and families are welcome... I would also like to extend and invitation to the local Pinz and Mog community in the area!! Reguardless of your...
Silly American... Didnt you know "we the people" really meant the country / government that was being created, not the actual country and the "people" in it!!!!
Teflon is ok ... There are two types of tape, the white which is more common is technically for water applications but will "work", the yellow is for oil, hyd applications and is just thicker / heaver.... Bjorn can prolly whip out a photo of the two.
I prefer a thread sealer in oil and hyd...
I think it would blow oil into the journals and such fine from there but I think you would still have a long delay in getting oil pressure as the filters are what take so much time to fill up. In the process you would also get a rush of air in the system from the filter area blowing out whatever...
The bases I used in my trucks thread were modified bypass bases. The exit hole in the base is only 1/8 from the filter, hence it being a bypass base. The thread connections are 1/2 npt inlet and outlet.
Base is Napa PN 4750
The suggested filter is 1749
These are designed to be used as a...
Im not showing off!!! I get told mine looks like I shop in the ethnic isles too much... His looks like a NASA experiment from the 1970's gone wrong... and yours... well... They make this product called OSPHO... Comes in a bottle... Not to expensive... Shall I ship you some? LMAO!
Something really simple like this would serve both Rob and Kenny's ideas as you can flip flop the pump to push or pull into or out of the tank... For power you could add a set of jumper wires to go to the battery or buy a trailer plug and wire it so that you could carry the pump in the truck for...
A few problems...
In dealing with filters large enough for the LD's volume there are no "internal bypass" filters made by anyone in those sizes. This leaves your filters to take a fairly high psi which would split the canisters open.
Two of the systems bypass valves are located in the...
I've never worked on a M139 but I've got more steering column experience on Deuces than I ever wanted!!!
I remember a thread about this and someone swapping wheels between the two so I will assume a M35 and M139 have the same, or very similar wheels on them... Of course I could be very wrong...
Yeah... you could do that also... let me explane the idea(s) so it makes since to the masses...
MEP003 Gen sets use a self contained fuel tank but also have a slave connection. The gen set runs dual fuel pumps one pulls from the tank to IP like most diesels. The other pump is used for...
Yeah its a hyd line... Most you see are 1/2 and that one is 1/4 and looks more like a air fitting in size so good eyes to both of you. I have also added a air coupler in the rear so I will take a pic of that too.
We shall NOT start calling it Boca Deuce bub!!!!
No welders... I am going...
Man you guys have some good eyes...
The vent was there when I bought the truck... I am hesitant to suggest installing one as my winch had a lot of water in it... One thing still on the list is forwarding and I am planning on yanking the vent and plumbing air into the casing to pressurize it...
