Bruce, i was not saying that you or any body else was. i was just trying to let all know that its not mine and i cant change this trucks fate. i also wish that you or someone could save it in its original state. i just know how some folks get when these trucks get changed. i did not mean to...
Back to the top. just looking for advice for pulling the hyd drive off this thing. looks to be like all others but when bolts were removed it would spin but not come apart.
Bruce, this is a friend of mine's truck. He bought it to put a specialized piece of equipment on the rear. he will not need the rear bed or the cab and frontend. kinda have mixed feeling about this. first off it's his to do what he wants. and its better than getting chopped up for scrap. there...
thank you James. this must work in conjuntion with the main winch? to keep the slack out of the cable? that sure makes sense. Chris, yes this is a clean unit. i was surprized to see these electronic items.
Thanks Chuck for taking the time to help on this subject. I know it is a big help to more folks than what are speaking up here. It's nice to get it from an authority on the subject. One more thing. the Farm plate around here comes as Farm/log. does this have the same mile limit?
Memphis claims they have boots made each year to keep them fresh. i also have bought boots from Teds Trucks. they were new and i could not tell the difference between the two vendors. except a couple dollars.
M1075, No i did not get an M945. i have the oppertunity to get a few parts off one. i just find all this old green stuff interesting and i'm always trying to figure out how and what everything does. and utilizing things allready availible to make our trucks better. like the air shift t case on...
ok it has a couple extra items on the pump. any thoughts what they are? one hooks on the tack drive maybe for the tranny. the other threads into the top of the pump.
still dont see where the 150 mile rule plays out for the truck. i was refering to the plating of the vehicle. i am not law but i think the 150 mile rule is only for the driver who carries a F endorsment instead of a real CDL. earlier i posted why not plate the truck FARM/LOG. this is less...
Ha yes they were. and winter. the M945 is about 45 min from home. did'nt think i would need the heavy hooker for this one. my bud that helped may think different tho.
any one ever pull the drive off these winches? took all the bolts out but seems like something is hanging on. the whole works will turn but not come apart. got cold fingers and quit for the day.
Paul, why not go farm/log with your plates? $14 per tare wt ton. i think this is way cheaper than a comm plate and if the load is yours, its legal. as far as getting a title for the beast call me and i can shed some light on this for you. it is very easy to get. i have done this a few times.
