Yes you need to remove the LARC from the list. That was his downfall and how he got caught.

Welcome to the site. Please be aware that we do not allow insurance threads. There are stickies in each of the Vehicle Forums that cover that topic. If you are in CA why are you wanting to registrar the truck in Maine?

That small run of rubber fuel line at fuel pump.

Use a jack with a board under the oil pan. Helps raise the engine enough the help remove the pump. Also use some grease to hold the pump rod in place.

Steel Soldiers MV of the Month - March 2015

Remember folks that you need to post the UsedID and the picture of the truck you are nominating. Sometimes we do not know who Fred is. Also there is absolutely no need to have multiple bumps through out the same day. And this not the thread for all the "Sweet" "Cool" and other campaigning...

That small run of rubber fuel line at fuel pump.

One issue to look for is if the hose has been rubbing on the crossmember. Many times the right motor mount will fail, allowing the engine to drop on the right side and the hose will start rubbing on the crossmember. If the hose is okay, just reuse it.

That small run of rubber fuel line at fuel pump.

The line from the frame to the pump is preformed. I have never found a new replacement. When I did replace one I used a longer piece of hose and made a sweeping curve so it did not kink. Others have bebt the metal tube at the frame to make the line curve better.

CUCV won't start. white smoke from exhaust, two bad glowplugs

I have also seen old timers use a potato to plug the exhaust to help with starting. Just make sure you don't insert it too far and be sure the area downrange is clear.

14.3V at each battery is a good sign. It does sound like the ground wire was the issue all along. Good job. [thumbzup]

CUCV won't start. white smoke from exhaust, two bad glowplugs

Some trucks require all the glowplugs to be working. Have you downloaded the FREE technical manuals? TM 9-2320-289-20 has a step-by-step test procedure for a no start problem. If you have someone to help, they can hold a rag/hand over the tail pipe on the side with the bad plugs. That...
