I'm looking for ujoints for my m1088. I got my truck out of the driveway and down the road for the first time yesterday. Sounds like there is a rotational sound at various speeds. The nameplate does have the "D" on it. I friend thought it might be U joints.
Does anyone know a good source for...
While I realize there are unseen costs ( I have a Business Degree), your analogy misrepresents fix and variable costs, and COGS. You spread the costs of the correct tool across the ALL of units you sell. Wire at $10? Go buy a switch at $ 25-50 (you drive and buy each one?). Seriously, would you...
I have seen a number of keyed ignition switches advertised by various military sellers. The ones that I have seen seem maybe a bit more expensive than the typical ignition switch. Is this some sort of special switch that handles 24 volts and high amps?
Well Suprman was right. The hoses were reversed. It can be confusing.
The new Haldex drier from Suprman has one feature I really like, a softer release of the air. Thus, it is much quieter in my neighborhood.
Hmmm I see that one is lithium based. Lighter weight maybe. I like Mobil 1 grease. Take a look at the Bob The Oil Guy Forum. All sorts of good info there!
Sorry, I guess I'm not sure that I understand you. Would you add alcohol to a newer type system after the drier? What type of alcohol is it? Would this loosen up the valve then by repeatedly hitting the brakes or something?
I recently replaced the brake system drier on my m1088. Prior to loosening the bolts for the old brackets, the system built pressure. When I did a test of the system, before the final bolt down, the gauges showed no air pressure. Maybe it is a grounding issue? I saw some grounding straps around...
I'm not sure exactly where this goes on the forum. I had some custom DOT air brake hoses made. Believe it or not, finding someone to make custom air hoses is not easy. Here is who I used. These guys were very nice and very interested in helping me.

I was wondering what the top speed would be for these gear ratios?
3.07
3.55
Are there other ratios available from Meritor or Spicer?
Do the junk yard donors have ABS?
Anyone know what new gears ( as opposed to junk yard donor) would cost ?
Thank you kindly!:)
