According to Stanadyne they never put the low lubricity componet iin the IP's intended for CUCV's from the factory. I have also never found any evidence that government contracted rebuilders did so, aside from some states where the NG went out and contracted with the local rebuilders outside the...
I have a good block, crank, pistons, etc here in NC. I just took the head off, but the rest is there. It is mounted to a PE-95 genset, the price is right if he wants just the engine or the whole deal (the PE-95 skid makes a great test run stand). It would be a good rebuilder or is most likely...
Old one, so you have a seperate glow plug controller that is likely bad.
However, instead of buying a new controller, since they are obsolete and no lonegr made, I would look for a new style PCB that eliminates the need for a controller.

The 6.2 pump will bolt on and work fine. You will get just a tad less fuel, but you can turn the fuel rate up once you get it mounted if it actually makes a difference you can feel- but I have done it many times and never needed to.
You can actually use the 6.2 pump on a 6.2 or 6.5 turbo, just...
I sell a line of military grade US made canvas tarps in my store, and asked the experts at the factory this question some time ago.
They were adamant that the best solution available to the general public is Thompsons Water Seal. They said to hang the tarp straight up and down, on a nice sunny...
There is your problem- your glow plug system has an issue. Now we need to know if you have an old system or a new system.
On the firewall, drivers side, is a protective control box, a black box with cannon plugs where the wiring goes in.
Give me the NSN on it and we can go from there in...
Won't matter one bit.
It will require a bond, an inspection by a DMV inspector to verify the VIN, if the Inspector does not like the VIN for any reason they will make you buy a new VIN plate from the state with a NC VIN and then you must make a second trip to the Inspector so he can watch you...
Trust me, you don't want to try the bond proccess in NC. It sucks, and sucks even worse with trucks that have non-standard VIN's that the inspectors do not like.
You need the SF-97, or a title from another state, unless it is a state that does not title older vehicles.
Without a title, an...
No truth to it at all. The 6.2's came off the line just the same, no seperate production for military stuff.
Now Stanadyne does now make the military IP's from harder materials to compensate for lower lubricity fuel- but only the HMMWV pumps post 98 or so.
Now that AM geneal makes the 6.5's...
Keep in mind that for most of their lives these pumps had JP8 in them and not diesel. JP8 has much lower lubricity than DF2, and as a result in IP's that are fuel lubricated like the Stanadyne Roosa Master system you will see faster wear.
That will be one reason you see these pumps from a...
There were some at Warner Robbins GA a little while ago. I did not inspect them, but somebody told be that GL or the units who turned them in had totally screwed up the sir systems and damaged the torque tubes moving them with forklifts.
The Oshkosh military products are first rate. I ahve just recieved several brand new HEMTT LHS trucks, and all are great.
I also recentlu got to play with the HEMMT fire truck- now there is a real beast!!
What model HMMWV is it with the 6.5? Turbo or NA? What transmission?
If it is a NA truck with the THM400, you will have a bolt in.
If it is a turbo truck, you will have to swap out the heads and intake to keep the turbo, as the NA engines and side mount turbo engines used one set of heads...
It was rebuilt in 88. Usually "limited depot" means that all the mechanical parts and wiring were replaced, but the cabs were not seperated from the frames and everything torn down to the nut and bolt level that a full rebuild would get.
Register it as a 68, that is what it is. Plus being a 68...
