Well I thew the tiny tach in a while ago and forgot to post up some pics here. It was really easy to install and seems to work great. For the install there want much room to fit it next to the batt gauge, but you can make it work by epoxying it in from the back, the wires are long enough to...
Im thinking the fuse is the issue at least for me. I pulled it today and it was dried out, old, and the plastic housing was 1/2 melted for some reason. Driving around town today with no fuse in there the truck runs 100% with the meter in the green right on the tick, but without a fuse when I try...
I have a 4" lift on mine with 36" tires. I love the combo it seems to be a great tire to lift ratio although there is some fender rub off road before trimming the fenders. But if you run that size tire the 10 bolt axles and 3.08 gears will kill themselves, also get a tranny cooler.
I have...
I did the opposite on my m1009 haha, went from 3.08 to 4.10 with my 36" tires. What rpm do you run at on the highway? 55 for me is about 2200. Speed limits here are 75 on the highway, but I dont like to see the rpms that high for sustained driving.
When I was driving home tonight I had the heater on full speed as I normally do. Everything was find until the Gen 1 light randomly came on as bright as when the engine is off and the fan shut off. Then light went off and fan came back on. It did it one more time and again fixed itself. I...
Ok so the drivers side freeze plug on my truck is leaking. It is the one under the motor mount. How difficult is that one to replace and about how long does it take? I'm guessing I need to pull both motor mounts. Additionally where is a block heater supposed to go as my truck doesn't have one...
Most people use york a/c compressors as they have an oil reservoir so they don't burn themselves up. Then it just runs off a belt and you make a circuit to run the clutch. Only problem is on a CUCV there is little room to mount it on the engine. I have a friend who did that on his civilian 6.2...
The truck has had an axle swap. D44 front and 14 bolt rear. I tried to tighten the nut but impact couldn't get it any tighter than it currently was? Do I need to go tighter or does that mean it's another component?
There is about 1/8" of play in my m1009's front D44 yoke. It will move in and out. What needs to be replaced and do I need to pull the whole carrier assembly to do it or just the yoke nut?
When I have the air filter box off I can hear a quiet suck suck suck sound from the drivers side intake hole. It is pretty subtle and has been doing it since I can remember (about a year at least) I think it has been there since I owned it. What could it be? Truck runs fine and has same amount...
Well I haven added water to my batteries in about 2 years:doh: and they finally wouldn't hold a charge. Opened them up and sure enough they had about 1/4 the fluid in them. Filled them both up with distilled water and one charged up and seems fine. The other one, however, gets a open...
