A very simple answer may just be the connector it self. When I changed my headlights (because they were diminish) on my M1028 I noticed the new lights were not much better. I had good voltage at the terminal but noticed the terminals were not that shine in fact they were brown. I used contact...
Sorry about that. Now that I read my response it came off as being rude. For that I apologize. It wasn't meant to be. I should have clarified a bit better. The M1010 models and a few other specialty vehicles had 28 Volt Leece Neville alternators. I do not know what specialty vehicles had...
Yes it is a great feeling when you bring a vehicle back to life. Its the best way to recycle. No need to buy a new vehicle and you re use a perfectly good vehicle that will out last most of the modern ones.
No. I won't need them for my application. I am still making a list of items I need. I will get together with you for one shipment. I just want to get her road worthy before I progress further on all the other items. I want to go through the entire drivetrain first. Change all fluids and...
After fixing the Fuel leak issue I took a few minutes to clean up the rear doors. The old aluminum rods that hold the doors partially open were bent up. The brackets that hold them were also a bit messed up. So they must go.
After removing the brackets I then placed rivets in the holes...
Today I fixed my fuel leak. The water in the fuel sensor is bad. It had Fuel blowing out of it at an astonishing rate. Not dripping but hosing out! In 1990 GM simply deleted the hole going to the sensor and deleted that sensor. I pretty much did the same thing. I drilled out the hole to...
I arrived back home a few days ago. Sitting on my work bench were my AC Delco Glow Plugs and new Glow Plug control card. This morning I was finally able to start the install. The card takes all of a few seconds to push in. I then started on the glow plugs. First thing was to pull the...
Thank you to everyone trying to help. I really appreciate it and I mean that. I agree the issue is definitely glow plug related. The weather has been cold and the old girl has been sitting in it for months. I am currently in North Carolina working. I should be home in 2 to 3 weeks. I...
I don't know how to check them out of the block. I do know how to check them installed. I would imagine its the same way. But open to learning anytime. They all metered 0 Ohms in the block. If they were good they should have been at least 1 Ohms each.
I used my jumper cables and jumped between the two large posts. No joy. Tried it 3 times. I am pretty sure I am getting fuel because there is white smoke coming out of both tail pipes equally. I need to check my glow plugs next. Thanks for the help. It does spin pretty fast.
OK there is an empty back plastic female receptacle box. Has internals for something to plug into about the size of a pack of smokes. Guess that answers that question. Do you have one? Oh and I will order that AC unit and cover some time next month. I will make arrangements to have it...
Help needed
Yesterday I picked up everything I needed to get my Ambulance up and running. This morning I waited to watch our New Commander and Chief take the Oath of Office. GO TRUMP! I was also hoping the storm would pass on by during that time. No luck. So in the pouring rain I went to get...
