Thats not a woodruff key. Just flat key stock.
I have drilled and tapped them to get out the rusty stuck ones. Screwed a bolt in and pryed up on the bolt head.
Have any pics?
I put a metal handle on a big screw driver so i can hit it with a hammer. Soak with Kroil. I put the tip against the radiused edge of the woodruff key and tap it with a hammer. You will probley need a new key.
I have the slide hammer and misc stuff, but no ground rods or couplers. I was told i could get the ground rod and couplers at a electrical supply, but no luck yet.
FYI
The spindle nut size on my 1968 M101A1 3/4 ton trailer is 2 9/16.
I bought a OTC 2 9/16 8 POINT spindle nut socket from NAPA for $25.12
OTC part number 1905. It is 3/4 drive. Made in good ol USA.
A 6 point 2 9/16 socket will not work. Don't ask me how i know this:oops:.
Hello and welcome from Pennsylvania.
No worries, I dont have a MV yet either. But i do have several old chevy's and some wheels that you are looking for. Only thing is, I am using the wheels.
Someone will chime in with some wheels for ya.
If you go to my albums, under David Smoker(my Pop-Pop), i have some pics of these trucks. I also would like more info in the tractor version in my grandfather's pictures.
Good looking, well equiped set ya got there. Mine has a drain valve too, but it dosent have a long handle. I think the idea is to have a quick way to drain the oil, so if the enemy is approaching and you have to abandon your set, you can drain the oil, turn it on and get the heck out of there.
Yer welcome. I'm glad some one used it instead of going to scrap. Cause i just wasn't getting around to using it.
Now you can bake a cake on race day.:-D
I use 2 of them to cover my MEP-002. They have been on there since the begining of the year and are starting to turn grey.
I also have a couple covering my wood pile.
For tent poles i used 2 old broom sticks. Drilled and tapped one end 1/4-20, screwed in a bolt, and cut the head off.
The kids...
Looks like fun! I take it that you have a portable cylinder boring machine, cause your not going to set that engine block on the "cheesy table top mill"......are you?
Looks good John. Years ago, i used to race at the Buck in the EMRA (Eastern Mud Racing Association) with a green 72 chevy short bed.
I like the way your 109 is set up.
