Hmmm.. Sounds like the spindle nut/ or spindle is stripped. Can you try to get behind it with a big 90deg pick and pull out. Sometimes it will catch a thread and come out. If not, grind thru the spindle nut with a die grinder and work it out that way. The torch is the last resort. Ive taken...

Before u do all that, find the exact spot where its leaking. Sometimes its where a clamp holds the line to the frame, and it will rub a hole in the line. Then i would replace that line. But if they are all rusty, then go too it.

Be prepared to spend a couple hours there. If they dont have them in the store, they will send you out into the yard. Bring tools and wasp killer.
